Morning TAN.

Happy Friday Eve!

Are you fishing for anything in particular, Kate?  Or just whatever happens to be wherever it is you're going?

We are headed to the beach shortly.  Huba-huba, Ubatuba.  I wonder what the bikinis will be like.

TW

Are you wearing a one or a two peice?

My rule, formed in the eye-searing fire of retirement beaches of Daytona, is, "If you are over fifty, wear a shirt.  No exceptions."  I will be wearing my polo shirt and age-appropriate swim trunks.  Brazilian guys of all ages tend to wear the banana hammock.

The banana hammocks must take more stress as the men get older and the boys start to sag down to the knees.

Is that what's happening? I thought I was getting bigger.

Only for some, others didn't have much there to begin with.

Prolly the same with bewbs too......there are some that won't have to worry and others that already have the issue, regardless of age.

Mostly tarpon and snook but I will take whatever I can get, or I will just jump in and go swimming.

Ironman training has taken care of that......and since this is a triathlon website an all, I guess I just assumed that we all do tri's and don't have gynocomastia issues....or moobs.

We do it.  My productivity on those days varies.  Some days I crush it and get tons of stuff done, other days every little thing distracts me, or I take time to do some errands, and I get literally nothing done.

The working in PJ's thing absolutely rocks, though

I have a name.....

Anywho....no we don't allow telecommunting. We are a relatively small company and there really isn't a position that can be done (aside from sales....which they have iPads and can work from the road....but not necessarly a true 'working from home').

I've been in larger companies that do and I used to do it myself. Some days it was nice to be able to work on a project without the constatnt interuptions but I need people interaction.....

Because it is not logged here does not mean it is not done, some people don't feel the need to write down everything they have done this week to validate themselves.

Or some people don't log things because they just talk about doing it, but don't really do it. Which is another form of validation......

Oh I am sure there are some of those about as well.  You will just have to decide for yourself what you do and don't think and who and what you believe.  Rarely is one side or another the full story and applicable to all.

My new boss is a fan of it, but the company does not officially support it.
For example when the snow storm hit last month he encouraged us to work from home and show we were productive so he could go to bat for this privilege in the future.

Since then there have been a few times where him and another co-worker have worked from home for a morning or what not, while taking care of a sick child or waiting on a repairman. That's the kind of stuff we SHOULD be able to do but are over-cautious because of dinosaur company policies and culture.
