Donto...let's get this name changed, Pronto...on Dasher, on Donder, on Blitzen..

OK team, threw down another 2000 yds this AM...am hoping to get another 3K+ done prior to Sat., which'll put me at close to 50% for the challenge...despite having a laughable team name, hope everybody's getting their yards/hours/minutes logged...

Request has been forwarded!!!

Hiya Nutcrackers!

Donto (Don) after speaking to you Ive let all the teams know (including your own as you can see) that there will be an 'official' spreadsheet to you for collecting team data probably in the next 24 hours.

I will start a Team Leaders thread as well for the check in at the end of the week... the reporting week starts Sunday and it would be great if we can have all the info in by Monday Pm please!

If you forget I will be posting reminders!

Happy Swimming

Donto and Cat

So we are the "Nutty Nutcrackers" now? I imagine that can sound pretty scary to some!

How is the group coming along on the swim challenge?  I'm not sure if there is someplace we are supposed to go to track our distance. I am at 3034yds (swam in meter pool yesterday which converts to odd yards), I believe I am on track toward my goal.

Keep swimming!

I'm at 4400 yds; amounts to about 30% of my 14,950 yds goal.  Planning to knock off some more tomorrow (and possibly Sat.)...hoping to have room for a week of bonus yards when all is said and done...

I'm right about 30% also but I'm not sure how it will go during the holidays so I need to stay on track. Hoping to jump in tomorrow and then participate in a winter tri on Sunday that has a 500 yd swim. Participating in the tri for off season fun and will try not to go competitive!

Oops...had to edit the subject line to correct team name.

I did 2100 today...intervals, shouldn't they count for double yardage?Wink I am at 50% of goal...but next week is shaping up to be a bad week at the pool. Hopefully I can find the time to get there.

Swim on nutcrackers.

NICE swim!

Me. I'm chatty.

Of course, I'm not on your team. So this is probably just a post padding attempt. I need more stars, after all.

It WAS a nice swim though. 2600m! Wow!

OK, off to go pad my post count more check other team threads and write spam meaningful, encouraging posts.

Not really sure what we're supposed to do with our weekly totals so I'll just report them here till other guidance is given. With that said, through 9 December I've accomplished 11,000 meters.

Hope everyone else is well on the way to their own goals!

Great job everyone!

I'll be hitting your logs at lunch time and will have the results later today.

I'll have 1k for last week but that's all due to the hammy issue.  Good news though I did swim today. Did a 1k to see how it felt.  Fine with the buoy, I would feel it at times if I swam without it so only did 200 yards without the PB.

OK...after a late week slump last week, I'm back swimming...knocked off another 1600 this evening after work, so I'm now at 6000 (goal is ~15000).  I'm a bit behind where I'd planned on being at this point, but hope to make up later this week.  Also, I've got some vacation days coming toward the end of the month and am planning on some 2000+ yd efforts...keep swimming Nutcrackers and keep being Nutty!!

Added another 2,600m .. this puts me at 8,700m for the month.. I pledged 10,000m, 87% complete. I thought the 10k would be tough, since last few months were 3500 or so.

My previous high for a month was  19,000m at my peak before my oly. Hopefully since things are going well, and I am enjoying the swimming, I can get near this number.

Congratulations to NNs posting high numbers so early in the month. I am back from a trip and logged 1650 this morning. (Should have easily hit 2000 but started chatting and had to leave the extra 350 until next time.) I have one more trip out of town before the holidays but will be off the week after Christmas and will be a devoted and chlorinated Nutcracker.

Put in another 1,300. This puts me at 10,000m for the month which is 100% of goal. So I met my original goal, but will continue at close to the current pace to see where I can get. Hope everyone else is swimming.

You get my vote for the "leading by example" award...nice job, you big Nut...

Our office is closing early today (annual Christmas dinner this evening) and I plan to swim then...should be at 50%+ by the time I finish.

Slake707,
I'd suggest that you increase your goal since you are already 100% for the month.  Great job on all the work!

I was able to get in 1000 this morning in a very crowded 3 lane pool, I'm at 3k/10k.  The big 25 lane Y pool is currently closed for repairs so of course everyone is coming to ours and making it hectic.  I think I'll pull out the wetsuit and do an OWS for the next one.

Let's keep up the great work teammates, were #2 but only by a hair!
