Expert 1357 Mukwonago, WI | Subject: RE: Team Teancious Turtles Alright Tenacious Turtles. I am off to a horrible start but I am vowing that I will not let you guys down! Look for lots of activity from me to get caught up because turtles may not be the fastest off the starting line but they are tenacious!! |

Extreme Veteran 665 Vancouver, British Columbia | Subject: RE: Team Teancious Turtles I went an epic ride over the weekend with 4 other BTers. We had a great time and by the end they insisted that I change my screename to the nickname that stuck. So good bye old screename of Out4atime, and hello new idenity. Now i guess i have to live up to it. Went to the pool but my goggles broke so only put in 800m. Going to do some running this evening to get back on track! |

Elite 4504 Columbus, Ohio | Subject: RE: Team Teancious Turtles So how is everyone feeling about the challenge? Just plugging along? A little worried? Anyone need some support of daily inspires? To answer my own question. I'm doing pretty well. The hamstring that I pulled in November/December is not talking which is a good sign. Volume has taken a gigantic up tick to start my HIM training plan. I am a little freaked with where I am supposed to end up in July with 2hr runs and 3hr bike rides but I know that I will get there in time... Just like the turtle. Slow and steady. Increases in measured doses. Hope everyone is have a good one. Keep it up turtles. |

Ahead of schedule for now...need to be...have a week in Chicago (business) coming up 20th...may knock me out of training for a week... But I did find a Y close to where I'll be...so that should cover my swimming and spinning...I can always run outside...IF I get some free time... I hear you on the HIM training...most weeks I'm supposed to be above 10 hours a week...some weeks I'm lucky if I hit 9... |

Master 1210 Saskatchewan | Subject: RE: Team Teancious Turtles I'm at 34% now. I'm getting into the higher volume weeks of HIM training too. I'm not following my plan perfectly but getting in the key weekly workouts. Had a nice long swim last night. I think I may have undershot my challenge estimate if I follow my plan's swim schedule and workouts for the rest of the month. We'll see. Way to go team! |

Veteran 144 Tucson | Subject: RE: Team Teancious Turtles Seem to be pretty much on track with the workouts and projection. Even with a trip to the states coming up in 10 days (falls during a recovery week luckily) I'll hit my goals unless I'm hit by a mack truck. Love these challenges and love the training. Certainly provides some additional motivation. Go turtles!!! |

It just is dragging down my averages. Plus work keeps getting in the way of my training. Stupid work. |

Expert 1157 Tremonton, Utah | Subject: RE: Team Teancious Turtles Right on schedule this morning with 33.54% of my goal completed. Gotta get my numbers up this next week as well as I'm in Las Vegas for a conference the week of the 22nd and a wedding in Utah that weekend, so, I've got to get a couple good bike rides in the next couple of weeks or I'll be in trouble. Hopeful that I can find a pool long enough to do some lap swimming in. Running shouldn't be a problem -- strap on the garmin and go. But we'll see. Best to get ahead of the game I suppose! Go turtles.

If I can get my long ride (2 hours) and long run (2 hours) in before the end of the weekend, I'll be sittin' pretty again... Was gonna bike commute today and tomorrow to knock out my bike hours, but I'm a wimp...rain turning to snow by Saturday... |

Expert 1112 I'm a Tennessee girl living in SoCal. | Subject: RE: Team Teancious Turtles Well, I'm FINALLY cleared to start working out again after the whole tonsillitis debacle. I'll update the spreadsheet, but so far I've gotten in 2.6 miles wogging (walk/jog) and 3 miles on the bike. I'll definitely be getting in more before the week is over though. I have a 5k on Sunday, so that'll be 3 miles right there. |
