I might even get a pool membership and get back in the water - friends are talking about doing HIM at B2B next fall so I guess I should swim some for that

Yeah, that would probably be a good idea.  I "faked" it for a oly, but it was only a 1000m pool swim.  don't think I could get away with that for  HIM

Nice job on doubling up the run and breaking 7k -

I'm still thinking about putting in the effort to get to 2k on the bike (I know, I only have 68 miles to go, but I have just been running and doing the trainer. ) but I have doubled my first 6 months.  On the run, I doubled up early in Nov but with the 5x5 challenge, I am getting in some good miles.  Might be close to 100 this month.  I think I only have 4 or 5 100 mile months in my life.

CeiliDH- You can do it, you can get your bike in

PinkSocks - come on, you are in FL, it should be easier to ride (especially to  spin your legs out after those long runs)  Have a great Ultra btw - you should be in taper soon right??

Great job on the possibility of 100+ month.  Yea, that 5x5 challenge (plus the November Turkey one) is keeping me focused.  Now as far as me jumping on the bike after a long run - shoot, you heard me dogcussing last week after my long.  The only thing I want after a hard long run is a glass (or bottle) of wine and a hot shower.  But yes, I've got my last really, really long this weekend and then I'm in taper.  WooHoo!

But I definitely say to finish up those 68 miles on the bike.  I'm still upset by missing my running goals for 2010 and 2011 by just a few miles.  You'll regret it if you don't go for it.

Bill and Scott, you are both going great!!!!!  Keep up the good work!

Hmm, a week of so ago, I really was gettiing cocky and was confident I would make my goals.  Some injury has slowed me down but I'm crossing my fingers I'll get it.

914.1 Run Miles (Goal 1000)

224.64 Bike Miles (Goal 300)

Looks like I will do it for running, no problem. If I get to the pool, I could make the swim. The bike isn't going to happen. I am still okay with it though, I had some crap months in there being ill.

I'm so scared that I'm going to jinx myself but I'm close.  About 32 bike miles left and 24 run miles.  I know most of you could do those bike miles in one little easy session but it will probably take me 3 to 8 more sessions to get them in.  I think I can get the run miles but my foot is bothering me again so I'm resting a little more before trying to pick back up.  Fingers crossed.  Go Everyone!!!!!!!

You can do it!!!

On the other side of the equation, when your foot is healthy you could probably knock out the 24 run miles in one session and I would take 4 - 6 Laughing

I made it for my running, not so much for the swimming or the bike. However, I am gonna be happy as a clam with that.

You guys made me laugh!!!!  You just happen to meet me during the ultra training and that gave you the wrong idea.  I'm so NOT a stud and 24 miles will take me 4-6 (or 8) sessions.

Yay, Robin on getting your run goal!!!!!!

The way that you have been putting in the miles, you won't have a bit of problem.  And then you still put in all of those bike miles too which is great.  Merry Christmas to you and your family, Scott.

I did not make it.  My hip and leg did not cooperate.  Had another MRI yesterday on the hip, will find out results next year.  So no double mileage for me.

I smashed running, no where near on swimming and only so-so on the bike. I am going to do way better in 2013. Hope it is the best year for all of you!
