Got a run in yesterday, and a swim in today. Sat down and took a good look at the goals and time left in the month--it will be tight but I don't see any reason why I won't be able to finish off my goals. Hopfully even with a day to spare.

Keep it up, my Lucky Little Leprechauns!

Looking good everyone!

Got a lunchtime 10k run in today. 83 degrees out this afternoon.  Going to have to start carrying water on the runs soon. Have fuel belt but haven't used it yet.

Moving a few training days around this week due to scheduling and family.

Hi Guys,

Took yesterday off.  Had to recover from a big workout on Wednesday.  Anyway, gotta get a run in tonight.  I have some miles to make up.

I wimped out Sunday knowing that I had a rest day Monday to swap with.

Had a good strength training session on Saturday while my son was taking his Karate lessons. Did high rep mid weights squats for the first time in months.  Well, Sunday morning my legs felt it. I actually like when the quads are that sore, but it was too awkward to run. That plus the 40mph+ gusting winds with the desert dust and rain alternating blowing convinced me to take the day off and run today instead.

Got 10.5 miles in on a long lunch session (1:30 per plan).

Sheesh, I was going to post about my 8-mile treadmill run this morning, but you guys are way beyond me!

It snowed 5+ inches last night, so for 'cross training' a friend and I built a Loch Ness Monster snow sculpture. I'll post a picture tomorrow.

Plan called for 45 min on the trainer and apparently I can't read cause I swore it said 50 min. The extra can't hurt right?

4 plus miles on the treadmill. It did quit snowing here today, but it's still cold and threatening more snow. I think tomorrow's run/bike will both be indoors as well.

1 hr bike and 1500m swim in yesterday per plan.  Swim was enjoyable as it was the shortest I've done in a while.

Going to pick up a pair of Vanquisher goggles today to try a few times before next weekends race.

Everyone getting close to reaching their goals? I've got one more swim needed and a couple strength workouts left. The bike and run are over the goals already. Run month has been better than expected; I was planning on less miles as my shins were hurting last month, but they've been fine.

Swim - ahead on my goal
Bike - behind, but easily caught up
Run - right on track

Wimped out today because of the wind, so I did another treadmill run.

short bike ride on the trainer. I ran out of time, literally. Missed today's run since the little guy has a cold and I can't take him to the gym daycare like that.

For the month: looks like I am behind on everything, but I think it's still salvageable.

swim: two more swims should get me to 100%

run: barring any more kids with colds, etc I should get the milage done

bike: maybe I will have to do a small ride almost every day. I have procrastinated way too much on this.

I jsut have to vent a little...

OK, so I got my measurements last night from one of the gym trainers.  She compiled them together for me and my results were poor.  Seriously, her email actually said "Overall Rating - Poor"

Now really, I beg to differ.  I have been busting my A** since september, have set goal and achieved them (like 30 mile runs in a month, 80 mile bikes in a month).  I know that for some, that's not a lot, but it's certainly not POOR.

I know people out there way thinner than me, that certainly cannot do the things that I've done.  So I am taking this with a grain of salt.  Honestly, when I saw my hip measurement, I about fell out of my chair, then went and got my measuring tape and measured myself.  I was 4 inches different from her.  Even with her measurement, I couldn't find where she could've gotten that number.  Oh, well.

Anyway, I guess there's nothing to do but get better.  So, now I'm back to logging everything that goes into my mouth.  Should've been doing that all along, but the results certainly were an incentive.

It puts you on a downer when stuff like this happens, but I'd encourage you not to put too much stock in trainer measurements. Each one does it a little differently. I had one gal actually hold the measuring tape at a 45 degree angle around my thigh. But, I spoke up and made her do it right.

Keep dwelling on the truth of the fitness you know you've achieved!

WAHOO! I swam my 1000 in 16:55 this morning. That was my race pace for last year. I'm really pumped, now, as this same race is only two weeks away and I can't wait to see what my swim time will be there!

It was 11F when I woke up this morning, so I will have to a lot of stationary biking to get my miles in.

yeah, the ole measurements. How do your clothes feel? That is my main measurement! Skinny clothes/ fat clothes.  It never ends watching what you put in your mouth...

But your right you have accomplished a lot so I think your excellent keep up the great work, follow your goals you will be smilling when you cross the finish line.

2000m swim in today, so just need the final strength workouts to meet my goals for the month.

Skipped the bike today as I took a nasty slapshot to the leg between the pads last night at hockey.  Tough to walk on this morning, but getting better already. The good part was that my quad was so swelled up last night it looked like I had a monster cycling leg
