D001 - 2008-02-03 12:56 PM I've added a "Track your progress" box to all of the spreadsheets! You do NOT need to do anything. It will update automatically. (In other words, do not update it!) It takes "today's date" from the computer, and calculates the percentage of the month that has passed so far. This will help you see if you're on track towards hitting your goal. For example, today is Feb 3rd. So the month is 10% completed. All of this shows up in the "peach colored box" on your team spreadsheet. - Dee

What a wonderful idea Dee!

Should we introduce ourselves? I'll start..

Kathy, Mom to 5 (twins 18 yo, 13, 12, 9) married to Kevin for now 22 years. I live in MA between Boston and Providence. This is my 5th year doing tris; training to do my first Ironman..IMLP July 20th. Last year was weird for me as I had a some run injuries that kept reoccurring, I was in a bike race crash with separated shoulder and bad concussion then I had surgery after my HIM. I'm not yet fully back to speed or place I was training wise after 6 weeks off with surgery.

I love riding the most; have come to love running and well swim is tough for me.

I am in for 55 miles pending getting my new training plan from my coach later this week.

Running I enjoy doing long stuff and my long runs I do the same distance twice once before a rest week and then following week. I'm up to 8 and go up 2 miles every 3 weeks until I get to 20-22 for IM training....fun stuff...but takes awhile.

I look forward to doing a 1/2 Mary next month. This month I have a 5K in a couple weeks which will be a good intense workout..not back to my normal race pace yet.

Happy running everyone!

Haha, I saw that. Was going to paste it as inspires in all your logs. I decided to be nice though, so I didn't. (The other option was Bill the Cat saying "pfft." I liked that one also.)

OK, changing your thread name now....

Oh yeah, and it could be my computer (it acts up sometimes), but you may want to check your team links table. I wasn't getting all of your team members' logs.

Ok, here's a little copy / paste action for you to go into your logs goals...

1) Added your PPFFT image.
2) Looked at your links. They look fine. So the "issues" that I had getting to some logs may have just been my internet connection, and not your html.

HEY all, I'm Jeni. I'm a little late to the party but completed a 6.5mile run Saturday evening so I'm on my way!

I'm a grad student in Vancouver, BC and I have an 8.5km race on Feb. 16th. My first race ever! And I'm gearing up for my first Sprint Tri on March 9th.

I tore my ACL last winter and had surgery last May. When you're told you can't be active for months it has the potential to completely change your attitude towards exercise. I was never very active before the surgery, but now I'm an endorphine addict. As part of rehab I bought a road bike and instantly fell in love- it's probably my strongest. I swam on a team as a kid and pulled out some personal bests for the January Challenge. Running is my work in progress and I have to watch out for my knee - I tend to want to push it to hard. But if you asked me a year ago if I ever thought it was possible that I could enjoy running I would have called you crazy!! These days, I go for a run on a Saturday night and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Pfft! all the way!

Hi Everyone!  Sorry I'm a little late popping in.  I have a marathon coming up at the end of April and want to be healed by then.  I'm nursing a sprained ankle, but have clearance from the doc to keep running as long as it doesn't hurt.  So, essentially the treadmill and I will be best friends again this month.

Have fun running all!

Hi All, Guess I am late popping into the thread also but so far staying on track with my running. Tho the weather is not helping. -15 this morning so headed indoors. My usual cut off is 0 however I was willing to run at -10 this morning but not -15! My poor dog is not getting any exercise. She is getting into trouble at home. We need an indoor track that allows dogs.

Keep up the pitter patter of those fast feet!

Woowhoo!  Put in 5.4 miles as part of my Brick today.  I may have underestimated what kind of distance I can run in a month so may end up upping my goal amount, but I'll keep it at 40 miles for right now.

How's everyone else doing?

Congrats on the Half Marathon!!!

I'm looking forward to the day I feel that I could call one of my runs a "recovery run" instead of the test of determination that they are right now. But at least I always find I'm smiling at the end. Cool

I did not get to do my run yesterday. Life was too crazy. School is just consuming my life at the moment BUT I should be able to get the run in this morning before classes. I take Tuesday mornings off from work because it is my l-o-n-g school day. I have to write a couple summaries of articles, but then should be able to get my 3 miles in.

Okay, 36minutes in today. Tried to stay in Zone 2-3 and ended up walking most of the time. Really sucks. REALLY sucks. Hopefully, by the end of March, I'll be ready to RUN, with healed ankle. That's the goal.

Did my run tonight before heading out to dinner with friends. (Pizza always tastes best when shared with friends after a hard run)

Did 10 miles naked down at the beach mostly in the dark and it sure was fun if not a bit too fast. (I got a bit frisky toward the end of the run)

Now at:

Team: 13.79% Complete
