Subject: RE: Where are your strengths and weaknesses?Typically, based on my rankings from most races, I would say the bike is my weakest event, and my run is my strongest.
Never quite sure why that is since I really don't spend alot of time swimming and don't really have any swimming background (played water polo in college but I was a goalie for the most part ). On the swim I just relax, get in to a long smooth rhythm, and glide so I guess that works. I have spent most of my time improving my bike leg. I have improved quite a bit from 9.8 mph my first race to over 21 mph in some sprints, but I still have people blow past me like I'm standing still most races. The run I can understand, since I was a X-C/track runner in high school and still have flashbacks to those days I could run sub 4:40 miles (wow, that was 20 years ago, I feel old ), and I have a better feel for how to push myself on the run and I don't have to hold anything back like on the bike and swim.
But I have improved alot over the years, and gotten myself back in decent shape, and have shown good progress in all three areas, which is very rewarding. |
