Great job team on the running so far this week! I missed a run last night because I got stuck at work. But, I got in 6mi today and plan to do 18 mi tomorrow. YIKES! I hope this Hanna storm will be out of here before tomorrow morning...I just can't fathom running 18mi on a treadmill! I would definitely have to split it up!
JohnDeere - 2008-09-10 6:52 AM I've been slacking team. I've had a tight back and sort of a strained calf since Sunday. I'll have to hit it hard by the end of the week.
I have a 20 mile run planned for Saturday, too. YIKES! It is really very far! I couldn't get a run in today for various reasons, but I have 5-7miles planned for tomorrow and a short run on Friday before the big one on Saturday!
I had a "stress" relief run late last night. Knocked out 5.5. Besides the awful humidity and my body feeling like crap after a heavy meal; I felt great after getting some miles in. The day after, my back and calf feel great, better than I have felt all week. I must be getting old, complaining about alittle soreness.
I just have to find/make the time to get some miles in.
I ran a 10K race today! I finished in 1 hour and that includes a bathroom break at 3 miles! For the record, that is my slowest 10K time EVER! Oh well. I'll get fast again after the baby is born. Hope everyone is having a good weekend and those 20 mile runs were a success.
Nice job everyone! After my 20+ miler yesterday, I'm a little over 50% for the month. When I set my goals for the challenge I had forgotten about taper, so it may be difficult to meet that 100 miles. I'll give it my best shot though!
Yeah!!!! I got another run done today!!!! Cheers everyone!
Whoo hoo! So what did doc say about how long you can run til?
I'm in the middle of changing doctors. My first doctor said to keep my heart rate below 140! I told him that was a pile of crappy information for a very fit woman with an uncomplicated pregnancy. I found another doctor that says to do whatever I want for as long as it feels good. She told me to listen to my body. That is much better advice for this girl! I guess you should just keep an eye on my blog to see when I quit running.
