My turn...

Malibu Tri Bike 2008
(You'd almost never suspect I'm ready to kill myself at this point after 11+ miles on a broken spoke...)

Malibu Tri Run 2008
Finishing stretch...despite losing 7-8 minutes on the bike to the broken wheel, managed to beat last year's time by 2 minutes...would have been more like 9-10 min. (around 1:46-1:47) without the wheel problem, though, which blows...

I did the Oly Race on Sat too. Yes, the fee was high for an Oly, plus mine was $10 more since I deferred last year. sidenote on MESP - they don't guarantee your entry to the following year if you defer, which is how I wound up in the Oly and not the 'classic' (no complaints on the new race). nor do they let you transfer.

I got to the site at 6am and I had my choice of shirt sizes at reg.

I wound up being slower than most on the course (i had a slow swim due to water in the goggles) and a slow T1 (due to not realizing i left my sunglasses in the car), otherwise I think i would have had a more respectable time for me. but overall, I didn't think the course was that bad. I liked the fact that there were just 1000 people in the field. It was nice and small in many ways and would def do it again. I didn't mind the diff terrain for the run either, i actually kind of like that.

let's see if i can get any pix up...swim/bike/run!

I like the one they posted in your section because your arm and event wrist band were in it Laughing

right click on each image and "save image as" on your hard drive. if you're on a mac, there is an equivalent key/mouse click combo but i don't remember which. just try the apple key, then the ctrl key etc til you figure it out and a window pops up with "save image as" as an option
