Alright Everyone!!  Keep up the good work.  The 8th is our first deadline, we all need to get in at least 5 workouts by then.

I got a 10 minute warmup on my bike/trainer and then lifted for 20+ minutes.  I hope to build a little strength this month (and next month too).

Too bad we cannot log raking leafs as a workout, I did that today too.  It gets boring real quick, but at least it's outdoors.

Keep up the good work!

Anyone care to educate me on how to paste this into my blog?  I know there is a thread out there but it seems more like it is about creating than it is transferring.  Can a fellow Air Winger help out a brother?

Anyone care to educate me on how to paste this into my blog?  I know there is a thread out there but it seems more like it is about creating than it is transferring.  Can a fellow Air Winger help out a brother?

The easiest way to put this in your training log is this:

  • Hit "Quote" from my above post (the one with the table in it
  • When the reply box opens delet everything you see except the actual table... so delete the "
" Edit... Ha ha, that's  "Quote" with the Brackets on either side.  Seems that by me typing Bracket Quote Bracket  You don't see the word Quote, Nevermind this senseless rambling. and continue on:
  • Then in the editing section (where you can make lettering Bold or Underlined etc. - Look for the icon that says "HTML" and click on it
  • This opens a pop up - so make sure you do not have a pop up blocker, or disable it temporarily
  • In the pop up you'll see a confusing mess of HTML / Code - Either highlight all of it, or click inside the box and hit your "CTRL" button and the letter "A" then "CTRL" and letter"C" (This will highlight all of the text that you see and then copy it all).
  • Close out the pop up, go to your training log.
  • In your Training log on the top left - beside your calendar (and/or your Planned vs Actual graph if you have it) - you'll see a vertical section of icons titled "Quick Links), click on the top icon (If you hover with your mouse over top of it you'll see that it is the "Control Panel" - Note this is not the same Control Panel as the link beside the word "Home" above your username)
  • This icon takes you to your settings page.  The first open tab that you'll see is "Privacy Settings" and then "Blog Settings" then "Defaults"  Keep looking to the right and you'll see "Goals"  Click on this tab.
  • Goals is where you can type in your short term goals (top box) or long term goals (bottom box).  Really you can type anything in here that you want.  Note: when you are in your training log, at the very top, this is where your 'goals' will be displayed.  So whatever you type in these 2 boxes will show up above your training log.
  • Decide if you want to look at the 5X Challenge Table on the top left or right of your training table. (top box / short term goals will be on the left - bottom box/long term goals on the right)
  • If you already have goals / info in these boxes go to the end of whats in the boxes and click once.  You'll see your mouse curser blinking.  You could then start typing here, but we're not going to.
  • Next click on the same "HTML" button that you used earlier (in the editing section where you'll find Bold and Underline options), another pop up box will appear.  If you have goals / info already posted then you'll see a lot of HTML / Code.  You simply hit the buttons "CTRL" and the letter "V" (which will paste the code that you copied earlier).
  • On the bottom left of that same popup will be a button that says "Update"  Click it.  The popup will then close and you'll see your "Goals" page again with the table (like you see in my post above) in it.
  • Scroll down on the page and hit the button "Apply" and your all done.  Now when you go to your Training Page you'll see that table at the top - Until you delete it (from the Control Panel).

So whats the benefit of having the Team Table in your goals page...

  • You can easily click the "Team Air Wingers" link and go directly to our thread (here)
  • You can easily click on any team members name and go to their training page and leave them a message or "Inspire"
  • You can click on the bottom of the table where it says "Spreadsheet" and it will take you to the log-in for our spreadsheet so that you can update your trainings.
Hope this is more helpful than confusing.  Good luck and pm me if you have any problems.

OK- big loser. Didn't get my 30 minutes in yesterday or Saturday- though I did do some random quad sets and left lifts and bends, just not enough to really log as such.  But today I did a kick a$$ PT session for 75 minutes, plus went to the gym and rode the upper body cycle and did another 10 minutes on the seated stepper to get this knee bending! This will be my plan all week!

Over the weekend, I got derailed with sadness about not being in yesterday's NYC marathon, but today I am back in the game and got charged up by the PT who worked me hard. Bring it, baby.

Keep your head up - I think you're doing great!  You are highly motivated, you put in over an hour of training today and you're making progress!  Keep it up.  You've got plenty of time to get in a few more workouts.

By this time next year you'll be writing your race report about kicking butt in the NYC Marathon!

Hi all,

I just got back from a 75 minute yoga class. So two workouts down!

Aquinn, good going on all that exercise. You're sure putting your downtime to good use!

Jhagerman, maybe if you rake a big pile of leaves, then jump into the pile, rake again, jump, rake, jump, etc. that could be a workout...you think?

Otter, glad you got in a walk. It's my favorite workout.

Sparco, I don't know what one legged spin drills are, but they sound painful. Good going.

Have a good evening, folks.

Mary

I like the idea, then I could include my family and with my daughter we'd throw the leaves high in the air, that would cause them to go farther away and I'd have to make it a race-like event to get the leaves back in place quickly...

I like the way you think.
