Welcome to all the new members!

Follow the below link:

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=tkKjp4EACGGojWNNHArDYuA

Let me know if anyone has any problems.  The formatting is pretty simple.

I wanted a more subjective entry regarding a photo (or simply just look in the mirror each week if you do not have access to a camera or are camera shy

The photo comments section is for you to make one short POSITIVE comment such as "abs more cut" which in long hand would mean "my abs are looking more cut than they did last week" or "arm flab reduced" or "calves more defined".  I thought it would be a good thing to add to the information.

If you already had a weigh in from last week when we started, put it in, if not leave it blank and weigh in/BF in this friday.

For now, we'll let this group go 7 weeks from the start and see where we stand.  If people are still interested in continuing their body transformation (I know I will be) ;op  I plan to start "GET RIPPED v2.0"

Best of luck to everyone!! Take those pics.

I would say just do it here -- unless someone knows a good way to do that?

I agree, post pics here on BT.  Otherwise the spreadsheet will get disproportioned do to different size photo's and what not.

So 7 weeks and a weigh in every week on Friday, right?

Thanks for setting this up.  I have a race in October that I really want to be in peak shape for.

and here's one of me right now (not my proudest moment)

I'd like to play along!  I'm currently 21.5% BF, down from 33% in a 18 months.  My goal is to get under 20% BF.
I have been obsessed with abs since Sept/October 08 when I finished Ironman.....have been tracking my "abs project" in an album for months!  Anyway, I took this one yesterday.

Here are my photos - I finally figured out how to put them in here properly.

First one is I think around June 2007 and this last one is from last week.

I'm still not gonna post any pictures.  I put my info from last week into the spreadsheet.  And that's it, right?  In the picture column I just put my measurements, which are bad enough, without adding a picture to really depress me.  So, we weigh in and measure on Fridays, right?  I realize this goes for seven weeks, but I have two races that I am focusing on in the first part of October, so my real goal is to get to 25% (or less) body fat by September 30.  I will most likely need to rejoin after the seven weeks.

How is everyone getting their body fat measurement.  I have calipers but it's a pain....I also have a scale but I have no clue if it's accurate.... For instance, after all day at work and eating a snack, my BF% was 19%.  This morning 20%.

I estimate mine based on the mirror.  It does seem to match both my caliper and bia scale readings (a slight bit higher, since the caliper is only one site, and scales can be all over the place).

Do it in the morning before you workout, this is the same with weighting your body.

One word of caution though..

Those trying to gain muscle, don't get discouraged if it's really slow progress, as muscle growth doesn't happen much (outside of the newbie training period) without eating sufficient calories (more than you're burning).  This is hard to do while doing lots of cardio, so if you have been weight training for more than a few months it will probably be best to focus on one thing at a time.    Trying to do both, can be done, but you have to keep swapping days where you eat excess calories and then a deficit in another.

Good luck to everyone, and oh yeah.. (it takes a lot longer than 7 weeks to really get ripped!)
