Alright can you guys explain the scoring of cricket?  Looks a little like baseball but I am sure there is a lot more to it than that.  You hit the ball with the paddle and you get 25 points?

How much time do you have?

Please go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cricket

You hit a a ball and get a point every time you run between the sticky things (wickets) (in teams oftwo)

If the sticky things get hit by the ball by bowling or while you are running between the wickets then you are out and the next person on the team comes in to bat... (only one person gets out at a time)

You can also get out if the ball is caught on the full...

Once all the members on your team is out you then become the fielding team... and the other team becomes the batting team...

So the points count the number of people on your team who are OUT and the number of runs you have achieved

Does that cover the basics???

Points!!!  RUNS . Trust it to come from a girl.

Hey I know what its called... Im trying to explain it in terms someone who doesnt know cricket will understand!

Come on... I grew up on cricket :p And Union...

The rain in Spain.... doesn't stop me from getting me home early.

Hi all.

Auge! Again?????

That breakaway WON'T stay away. Not with Chav & Millar.

BTW Jens, my postman delivers too & I don't fancy him either.

Cat, who was that rider in the picture you posted?

What's the cricket score. I forgot to tape the highlights last night. Missed Pieterson's dismissal. It was a howler by all accounts.

Yay!!! Hi Honey! Welcome home!

Crickets Aus 64/1 chasing Englands 435

mostly scored in 1's, sometimes 2's, hardly any 3's, 4's are hard, 6's into the crowd.

Saw Richard Bransons advert for broadband??? with his face painted with the England flag & jibe to Ricky Ponting in free paper on train today. How are the Aussies taking it? In good spirits? I thought it was rather clever.

I havent seen it...

"runs" are also used in baseball, which is the common comparison for Americans.

Twenty 20 is a new style cricket game that's over in a few hours. About the right attention span for you Americans for sporting events.  Tease, tease.  BIG KISS
