Alright team.  Team name I will leave up to you creative people - I am not as you can see from me forgetting some people at team sign up.

My name is Bill, I turn 43 8/15 so you can shower me with greetings of all types , I am married with 2 kiddos (13girl 11boy).  They are both very active with music and my son starts football practice tonight so we were out hitting baseballs today.  See how I operate

Well have a great challenge and when I am at work I tend to post pad quite a bit so I will see you around the threads!

Um...info about me...23/texas boy/i love being outdoors especially on the lake!

Also for some reason I am addicted to explanation points, dont really know how that happened.Smile

Must be a Texas thing...I was born there...and also love explanation marks! haha

where in Texas? and what lakes?

Seems like a logical enough explanation for me lol

I live just north of Houston and spend more time than I probably should playing on Lake Livingston...sometimes Lake Travis (more or less because getting into the Austin area the drive gets pretty nice).

The name Toe Jammers made me literally laugh at loud. Got an interesting stare from a co worker haha

ebshot - 2009-08-03 4:43 AM Morning guys.  I think I know most of you.  But just a quick run down on me for any new people I don't know.  Erica, 30 y/o SAHM to 3 crazy kids who keep me SUPER busy.  This was my second season of tri's in which my A race was my first HIM.  Training now for a half marathon in October.  Might get an oly in at the end of August if I can squeeze it in.

Okay, enough for now.  I still need to figure out my goals!

are you following any training plans? I too just started training to run a half marathon in October...help!?!?

I meant to let you know the other day that I am using the Hal Higdon Intermediate Half Marathon plan.  It's easy to follow and I like it!  I'm a few weeks behind but it isn't too much volume that you can't jump in a few weeks late.

So I see a couple of introductions, and I realize that I just jumped in without introducing myself.  I'm Cheri -- live in Florida, work as an engineer under contract to the Air Force, did my first (and only!) HIM in May, mostly a runner, married to an airline pilot, no kids, over 50, training for a fall running season including a half marathon in Nov, love biking too, hate swimming.

Stacie (skrtrnr) and I were just talking about that training plan the other day!  We're both doing November half marathons, and I plan to jump in when it starts getting a little cooler around here -- if that ever happens!

Mornin' teamies!  I was away this weekend, so I haven't started this challenge yet.  But today's a new day and I'm heading out for a run in just a few minutes.  Hope everyone had a great weekend!

And we need to come up with a better name than Team 2 -- my brain is too frazzled at this hour to come up with anything clever though.

what are you doing up a 3:47 am, Cheri!?...or is that west coast time!?!

Yeah, it must show up for you as west coast time.  It was 5:47 for me -- still early, but at least I could get out and run without the sun beating down on me.

I guess everyone is introducing themselves so here it is... My name is John (friends call me Boz). I have been in the military for 21 years and currently work and live in North Carolina. I used to race a lot but have not trained much this year due to work. I'm another one of those old guys that turns 41 tomorrow and trains in between work and taking care of my wife, two kids, two puppies, and a horse. I signed up for a 100 mile bike race on Labor Day so don't let me slack off.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and winning this challenge.

like Erica said, most of you i know from other challenges and various asundry convos via logs, inspires, et al....

but some of you i dont....

im stacie.  i live north Pittsburgh.  i'm a reluctant stay at home mother of three boys, 12, 9 and 7.  my SAH status affords me lots of time to train, especially when school starts again.  my dh supports my tri habit too.

I started running 2 1/2 years ago w the intent of starting Tri training at some point.  This is my first Tri season (i started back in October) and im lovin' multisport!  Tris definately 'suit' me.

I did a mini Sprint and a full Sprint so far, the MS150 (2 day, 150 mile bike ride to Lake Erie) a few 5Ks here there, and an then the Aquathon this past Sunday.

my A-race is this Sunday.  a full Sprint - 800m swim, 12.5 mile bike, and 5K trail run.

im doing a 1/2 Mary in November (The Spirit of Pittsburgh

I'm gonna see how i do.  (ive done a 1/2 Mary before)

If all goes well, ill consider a 1/2 IM in the late Spring, early Summer

have any suggestions for good races in the Northeast that time of year???

i guess thats it.

looking forward to spending the month with you!

CHERI beat me to it.

i'm using HAL HIGDONS INTERMEDIATE 1/2 MARATHON TRAINING PLAN.

ive used Hal's plan for all my running-only races.  there's a bunch you can download, various distances, all ability levels, and best of all theyre free.

Oooo, you need to come up to Cape Cod and do the Hyannis Half with the BT crew in February.  There was a large group of us that did it last year and it was a BLAST.  Gonna make a weekend of it this year.  Sooo much fun and beautiful!

My plan was to go to the pool today.  Yeah, that didn't happen.  I got a call from an old friend who was in town and we went to lunch.  Fun times.  Then Bry called and said our idiot substitute realtor (our normal on is on vaca) screwed up our offer (we are trying to buy a house) and we had to do the paperwork over again.  So, I cut my lunch date short and had to come home to do that.  Now the pool is closed.  No worries, I am gonna swim tonight.  OWS at the beach with my great tri friend Beth (trirific10).  Nothing like some accountability to get my arse in the water!

ETA:  2900th post!  I'll hit 3000 on this challenge.  Sweet!

Nah - burned out was a bad choice - just my legs are a little tired.  4000 miles for the year already and it is nice this week to just goof off and spin a little - I don't bother tracking rides under 30 minutes - too much effort

As a matter of fact my son and I just went for a quick ride and I still had great love for the bike

Time to cook dinner and get ready for football practice.

Have a great evening everyone.

4000 for the year is incredible...my dh is at 3550 and he never drives! so, I see now where you are coming from! whats for dinner??? Im famished!
