I was tired today.  I did not get my planned swim done.  I did teach my Spinning class, though!  It was a good class.

I was planning on doing a sprint tri this weekend, however, my kitty cat is not doing very good.  He is very, very old and I'm feeding him all the time.  I don't want to depend on anyone else to do it while we go out of town for a few days.  Poor guy.  I will, at least, try to get an OWS done over the weekend in addition to my regular workouts.

Yeah team!!!  We're gonna kick some booty!!!

TRACY....

aw poor kitty.   its hard when our furry friends are ill.

good goin' teaching your spin class....how long have you taught Spin?

what kind of water will you be swimming in this weekend?

im hoping to get an OWS in too, at Kinzua, a beautiful reservoir lake just north of here....

HAPPY TRI'ING.

hello Okra-ites.

im in my glory.

90 min ride - 25 of which was to and from my youngest sons school.  he forgot his lunchbox.  silly us!

the sun was/is shining.  the air was/is cool.

i took myself out to a back to school lunch at Paneras.  one of my favorite places to eat.

im still figuring out a route directly TO Panera so i can ride my bike here, theres just one section thats a bit trecherous.

but i did ride almost here, right next door to Starbucks where it was 'safer'.

enjoyed my lunch and now im typing on my brandy new HP Netbook.

the boys arent due home for another hour and half.

im full of good food.  i finished a fine training session.  and im posting on BT.

life is good.

hope everyones having a happy today!

Thanks.  I'll swim in a lagoon so the water is a little salty.  It can also be pretty chilly.  I've been teaching Spinning for almost 4 years.  I love it!  Have a great swim this weekend!

TRACY.  a lagoon OWS sound lovely, salt n all.

Kinzua is pretty deep so even though its late in the summer, its probably gonna be pretty chilly.  so im ya on that one.  theres these HUGE rocks on the shores that boys LOVE to hurl themselves off of into the water, im hoping to disappear for awhile and get some yards in.

teaching spinning for 4 years now...that's awesome.  one of the spin instructors at our Y is a triathlete, and theres a BIG difference in the way she teaches her spin classes vs the fitness/aerobics instructors.

im sure your 'students' benefit from your TRI experience as much as i do from my spin instructor/ironWOman.

let us know how your kitty is doing...

So I am looking at the threads and see one on page 2 and tell myself Stacie has to be on that team.  And low and behold - Stacie is on your team.

Stacie - are you looking to hit 10K posts before January

Good luck team but I still like the Nads better.  No one eats Okra do they?

Have a great month everyone!

I love okra, fried, stewed, it's good stuff! But, perhaps an acquired taste!

Yeah, I say it has to be an acuired taste, or one that you grow up with so you don't know any better.  LOL

Hi Stacie.  I used TI to completely rework my stroke.  When I started, I swam with my head above the water (that's what I learned in a lifesaving class 40 years ago) and would be out of breath after 25 meters.   My progress was slow, but I will also admit that I did not spend much time doing the drills.   I'm now able to do 1500 meters continuous and am starting to feel much more relaxed in the water.  (I only wish I felt this way on Aug 23 when I did my first triathlon).

I suggest you get the "Feestyle Made Easy" DVD.  If you can work it out, it is probably best to take the TI class and/or find a TI instructor to work with.
