read the final few pages of THREAD #4.  im nostalgic that way....

and alls i kept thinking was....

if anyone in BTland went back to read that thread they would SERIOUSLY wonder....

and from the sounds of it, were

ROCKIN' THE RUNNING PART OF THE CHALLENGE TOO.

i always worry bout those 'sneaky' teams who dont post their mileage until the end of the month and then WHAM outta the blue the knocked you right on your AZZ to last place.

not that i think we'll end up in last place mind you...

its just.

thats happened to me before.

in a few of these challenges.

not that i think its gonna happen here.

im just sayin.

i picked ONE MILE CONTINUOUS SWIMS as my PICK IT.

i just learned how to do flip turns.

so in addition to being a photo postin fool.

im a flip turnin' in the pool fool.

i love me a flipturn.

so continuous miles will become my 'staple' workout when im in the pool.

all in prep for my OLYS come MAY AND JUNE.

see.....im organized....a planner....a forward thinker.

yes, indeedy.

GHOULIE QUESTION....

would would you suggest that i keep as my 'base' long distance run through the winter????

obviously ive worked my way up to 12 miles, but i dont see myself running a 12 miler come every Sat/Sun through the winter.

but i dont want to 'lose' what ive gained either....id like to do a 1/2 MARY the beginning of MAY before my OLYs......

im thinking 6-8, but is that too 'low'

should i aim more for 8-10.

my schedule 'tapers' every 4th week of the month (i use the ones from here on BT)

so i was thinking

week 1 8
week 2 9
week 3 10
week 4 6

rinse and repeat.

whadya think???

in honor of

in celebration of

in gratitude for....

That seems like a pretty reasonable schedule to me.  I'm facing the same dilemma.  I think I kind of came up with the same sort of goal: A long run of 10 miles each week.  Any longer than that and I'm going to freeze

Stacie you're the best!  That you would dedicate the last few miles of your race to us ghoulies is honorable.  For sure you are going to rock this thing.  I will send you as much possible good running juju as I can muster.  Good luck and have fun!
