xTriRiTrix - 2009-12-02 9:22 AM Hiya team,
I went to the first (..er second) of my swimming lessons last night. I did a strength training round and then headed to the pool for the beginner's swim class, did that whole thing, and then the teacher said I might be a better fit in the intermediate class that was immediately afterward, so I did that too. [Guess who is a little bit of a challenge hound?] The intermediate class was challenging since I've still got my nowhere kick, but perhaps that will come with time?  I sure do hope so. Near the end, it wasn't very pretty since my weightlifting and my other swim class started to catch up with me. This morning I'm a little sore, but not completely horrible.

Cheers! Go Force!
Riley

The 'nowhere' kick gets my vote.  For me personally, it's the only way I can reserve energy for the bike leg.  It's even better in a wetsuit.  With a 'nowhere' kick using a wetsuit, I've still been able to hold 1:49s/100 yards in a race.

It's all about learning good balance WITHOUT the kick.  Way to step up and get invited to the intermediate class!

Got 4 miles in this morning. A recovery run from my hefty effort at the half marathon on Saturday. Even though today was a slow/easy run I still felt tired and my legs were heavy. Non-the-less it was great to get out and run.

Hello fellow FrostbiteForcies,

It's been a while since I've done a challenge but I think this is exactly what I need to get motivated a bit.  My training has fallen off since finishing grad school and starting work.  I only did one event this year (a half mary), but hope to do an Oly and HIM next year.  I tried to put in my goals on the spreadsheet but it locked up on me.  I will try to go in a fix it when I get home.  Happy to be on the team!

Way to go Jen!  I got a fifteen minute walk in between things just now. Not quite tri-worthy, but better than sedentary.

My apologies re: Group Leader. I don't think I can do it since I'm hit and miss on being thread-active given the schedule I have to keep.
May the Force be with y'all.

Still need to finalize my goals on the spreadsheet. It's going to be tricky since I'm going to be gone for a week or two around the holidays.

Hi I am Tammy...not always on line so I pop in when I can.  I have a running/bike challenge this month.  The spreadsheet reflects half of the month's training plan(I haven't got the other half from my coach yet).  I am battling something that maybe be tendonitis in both my Achilles tendons so I think I will leave my goal as it is.....just in case.

I ran 7 miles today......it hurt.Cry

Glad to be part of the team....love the name!

I am good with Tim being our fearless leader.  It looks like a general acceptance of the Frostbite Force as our team name seeing that those Evil Elves stole one of our other possible themes, yall see how they are.

In any case a steady 9 mile run for me today, nothing pretty just straight steady lower effort run (16 miles for the month 8)).  This is the first run that has felt decent since my 30k 9 days ago... and well the 4 miler 6 days ago and well moving back up in elevation.  It usually takes me 11 days to adjust to altitude again and it has only been 3.  The temperature was a perfect 45 F, not too cold and well not too cold.  It is nice when you can just go run in shorts and a T-shirt in December.  I hope the weather holds, well at least around noon on weekdays.

Anyone have any races coming up in the next couple months?

Sounds like we have some good votes for Frostbite Force, What does everyone else think???

Now, anyone want to be team captain? I would do it, but I am out of town for a few weeks later on and will not have reliable internet.

Come on! We have a great team here!!

May the Force be with you!

Hi Frosties! Biked yesterday, ran today. I just calculated my goals for the month. It's a bit harder with X-Mas , New Years Eve and I'm away next week with no bike.

I was just reviewing the team's spreadsheet.  Looks like everyone was able to find their way.  We just have a couple people still trying to solidify their goals and one person to check-in.

Now, we have our goals, let's DU it!
