Subject: RE: Du-December Challenge Team 3xTriRiTrix - 2009-12-02 9:22 AM Hiya team, I went to the first (..er second) of my swimming lessons last night. I did a strength training round and then headed to the pool for the beginner's swim class, did that whole thing, and then the teacher said I might be a better fit in the intermediate class that was immediately afterward, so I did that too. [Guess who is a little bit of a challenge hound?] The intermediate class was challenging since I've still got my nowhere kick, but perhaps that will come with time? I sure do hope so. Near the end, it wasn't very pretty since my weightlifting and my other swim class started to catch up with me. This morning I'm a little sore, but not completely horrible.
Cheers! Go Force! Riley The 'nowhere' kick gets my vote. For me personally, it's the only way I can reserve energy for the bike leg. It's even better in a wetsuit. With a 'nowhere' kick using a wetsuit, I've still been able to hold 1:49s/100 yards in a race. It's all about learning good balance WITHOUT the kick. Way to step up and get invited to the intermediate class! |
