Champion 6656 | Subject: RE: WEST - March Winds Challenge Hey Guys! I'm here...school is a bit crazy right now....Have a cardiology final next friday, so I've put in my goals pretending that I have stayed on top of everything...(which I actually kinda have) So I shouldn't have too many problems getting er done...) Really need to pick up the biking this month. I have a swim meet in 2 weeks for the weekend and then I think I might start reducing my competitive swimmingness in favour of more bike riding...we will see what happens? Finished a bike and core this morning. Swim tonight! |

Expert 1580 Ankeny, Iowa | Subject: RE: WEST - March Winds Challenge Happychick - 2010-03-01 5:12 PM Hey all! It's great to see some familiar faces as well as new ones! I've been out of the challenges for a few months now and am ready to get back in the game. I guess I should set some goals...Hmmm, I'll have to work on that as I have no clue what I'm doing this year...we recently decided to uproot and are about to move back to the Mainland so things have been and are getting even more hectic around here! Anyway, I am in my last week of classes so it's quite busy for me but after this week I will have lots of time to play on here ~ yeah!!! With that said, I must go work on my term paper that is due!!! Hi Michelle, Good luck on the move back to the mainland... How close are you to moving and do you know where yet? When we came to OK from AK we got 35 days notice... and hubby was in South Korea.. You can do this... but good luck. Stacie |

Expert 1580 Ankeny, Iowa | Subject: RE: WEST - March Winds Challenge pdbman - 2010-03-01 12:56 PM I like the idea of a team name but I don't know if I like the idea for a name so far. Not a big fan of anything cowboy/girl related, except for maybe one thing. Other than that one thing, we try to stay away from the "C" word (as we call it) around here. How about t.w.i.s.t.e.r. - Tri-West Is Stompin Those Eastern Rats. We'd better make sure we beat them though or we'd never live it down. I don't know, I'm trying to be creative here but not doing very well. Anyone else have any ideas for a team name? I'll go with whatever the team decides. Hey everyone - I took Paul's suggestion for a name and put together a team roster for my log. That is the only way that I can try to inspire my teammates. I have copied it below if you guys feel like using it. Up to you if you want to or not, you aren't going to hurt my feelings. I am from OK so I am familiar with twisters and I figured twister and March Winds Challenge went together. Again up to you. Stacie |

Are you volunteering? ) If you guys can help me out or bear with me through the 15th (I am on vacation seeing family the 5th through the 15th) I can try to be the leader unless someone else is dying/wants to be the leader. Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: WEST - March Winds Challenge Hello fellow westerners! Nice to see a lot of familiar faces here and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone else. I haven't given much thought to goals yet. That would require me figuring out my training plan for the month. That's tonight's goal I guess. |

Subject: RE: WEST - March Winds Challenge Goals are up. I think it's something like 30k (yds) swim, 300 miles on the saddle, and 100 miles running. I have my first tri (sprint - 750/13/3.6) in march, and set a goal of going under 1:30. If I go under, it's a 1 out of 1. If I don't, it's a 0 out of 1 for goal tracking purposes. Just to clarify...we just need to update our training logs right? Someone is actually going to review them each week and transfer that data to the spreadsheet for us? Or do we put it in ourselves? |

Check out the first post in this thread for directions on how to access it. If you run into problems accessing it, you can ask here and people can help you. |

I got confused with the orignial post about "if it's not in your logs it didn't happen, and that you would complie everything on Sunday" So we enter our own...on the spreadsheet AND in our logs. I was thinking that someone would need to be crazy to go into everyone's logs to post results. |

Usually we all update the spreadsheet ourselves - the team leader is just there to remind you to do it. |

If I make my swim goal, it will be my biggest month ever! Oh God, what was I thinking? Maybe I should up my swim goal and we can get some serious competition going. I set a fairly challenging goal of 25,000 yards, but it would be a heck of a lot of fun to have a swimming duel. A challenge within a challenge! I like it! Most yardage wins???? 3,400 for me today. |
