Free food always tastes better.
I am still not feeling great. The weather is PERFECT though. I am taking time from work this afternoon and I am going outside and do some weeding type stuff and maybe a trainer ride. I wish wish wish I could find somewhere close that I felt safe enough on the road to take a bike ride. Lots of folks ride all around here but I just can't get over the fear of rednecks on curvy roads or oldsters from Florida looking at scenery and freaking that there are CURVES here!

Good idea. Like your plan for the weekend. I am sure your new steed will be happy spending the night with you at your sis's. Hope the run this evening gets the kinks out.

Yes you need to find a bike trail just to get confidence back up for a while and then move onto quiet roads before progressing back to normal - it will happen Robin!!!

Yes. This ^.

That is quite amusing. A bike TRAIL, here in Western NC...
They have them all over the eastern part of the state but here in the mountains.. nope. There is an old race track that has been converted to a bike track but that is filled with racers and kids and all you do is go around and around trying to avoid kids and aforementioned racers. The best I can do is get a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway early Saturday and Sunday mornings before tourons show up.

Funny, that is why I like races. I can ride without worry of traffic.

You are 4 posts away from losing some pretty Stars Robin!

hmmmmmm - that makes a problem.  Well there you go - you have your solution.  What time is the Ghoulie ride with Robin on the Blue Ridge Parkway - not that that is a bad thing - absolutely beautiful!!!

YOU CAN DO IT!!!

As for the bike ride... can we make it sometime Saturday afternoon or Sunday? I'd like to take my new bike out for this.

My poor DH is out in the yard picking up branches from our wind storm. The wind picked up just now and a whole bunch more fell out right behind him... One step forward, two back!
