Subject: RE: Tejas TriathlonKeriKadi - 2010-06-02 2:54 PM cycleologist - 2010-06-02 2:31 PM a bit off topic, but in preparation for the swim segment of Tejas I'm going down to lake 288 Friday round 3-3:30ish for some OW swim practice. Anyone is welcome to join me.
I think doing this before my last tri helped with the pre-swim anxiety. I suppose my mind had fresh memories of swimming in murky waters. I think I'll keep the tradition going. If it's murky water you're looking for look no further than Bridgelands - save gas and $7 Not a bad idea as I am supposed to swim Friday anyway. I don't mind the drive and I like 288. Bridgelands would have to be a bandit swim. Have you been by Towne Lake recently? That may be a better location. See my previous post or check out photos in my album. IF I can get swim buddies to jump in with me I am not opposed to swimming locally on this side of town. I've been talking with Fatty and Trin2Bfast to scout it with me but our schedules have not worked out. Towne Lake still has a bunch of unknowns but heck if they are doing an Oly and sprint there in September, it should be OK. I'm not keen on swimming solo in places I have not swam before even if is just a neighborhood lake. |
