I hope your weekend is looking great to make up for a bad Friday. The weather looks nice, but I am relegated to the pool still. I was supposed to race this weekend. Saw cars with nice bikes headed toward the venue on my way home. I need wine, my season ended abruptly and I/m not happy |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: September FOCUS Team Chattery Not fun when you both have a bad day. I'll go home and get plastered (on water and gatorade) in honor of your bad day. My wife is working late so I won't even have to share so that means twice as much for me! |

Was in the hospital last month with chest pains. They thought it was a heart attack but angiograph looked ok. They still don't know what it is. I'm supposed to go back in and see the cardiologist again. Anyway. End of season. I had two more races I wanted to do, both marathons. Oh well. There is always next year. |

Hope the cardiologist clears everything. My season has been bad, aside from a PR half mary in Feb and 10K in March the rest of my season went to h3ll in a handbasket. April....Oly....horrible swim, okay bike, run fell apart literally had to go barefooted for the last half cause my feet went numb and I fooled with my shoes for the first half. May...century ride from h3ll....no problem getting to the turnaround, headwind all the way back. Lost the route. My group leader bailed about 75 miles in with cramps so bad she was contorted. end of May through June......asthma/ bronchitis/ sinus flare that had me on steroids for a month. These interrupted my sleep and I was getting 2 hours a night. Saw my primary 3x, a pulmonary guy, talked to my allergist, and went to the ER. Missed my favorite local sprint. July......oly from h3ll. 105 degrees out. Swim was ok, bike was okay. Didn't run much cause of the heat. Tore my gastrocs a few days after that race. I was supposed to do a HIM this weekend and downgraded it to a sprint after the asthma mess. Rescheduled the June sprint to a sprint in August. Have to bail on those, as well as the rescheduled sprint that got moved to Oct. And my Nov half mary. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: September FOCUS Team Chattery I got my run in last night. It was a little later than I had hoped (1:30 am) but I did it. It was a nice peaceful night and the perfect temperature (for a long sleeve running shirt). I feel much better today after the run. I'm planning on a ride this afternoon but I have to mow the lawn first. My yard is looking pretty neglected. |

You must work an off shift? 3-11 or something? Nope. I worked 8:30-7:30, then went to my wife's work where she was finishing up the Christmas catalog so they could send it off to the printer. I hung out there until almost midnight, gave some people a ride home and then went home myself. My wife and I have both been working some long days this last week with the projects we're working on. This week should be more normal. |

I can't run or bike nearly as fast and I can tell if I start pushing too hard. I just have to keep telling myself that it will all come back with time. |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: September FOCUS Team Chattery Oh and now that I'm back from the chowfest in Jakarta, I'm ready to hit Monday back on the wagon. I need big T.I.T.S. one way or the other, but I may pull out of Tour de Bintan. There's just no way I've been cycling enough to do my team any kind of justice. I'll e-mail the captain and ask if I pull out whether we'll be below numbers or if there's someone to take my place. Worst comes to worst I can definitely do it; I just can't be a solid team member. |
