Almost didn't ride this morning. I'm on a 2 week stretch at work without a day off.

Nice Ride!!!!

Looks like tonight's plans are changing for me - will probably end up with 13 instead of 20 (although it will feel the same - will have the boys in the burley.

Paging Tri-Guy 25, Paging Tri-Guy 25, we want you to come out and play with us.  If you don't respond to this and get to completing some stages I might be forced to send my Squirrel to find you.  You won't like him when he's angry. Wink

Angry squirrels are bad news. Angry squirrels with hunting gear are very bad news!

Just when I was about to head out for a long ride a series of storms generated themselves right over head. They lasted for 4 hours. I guess I am lucky I didn't head out earlier. Down to the basement for a trainer ride I go.

Got in my stage tonight, 30 minutes on the trainer, no rain here (I wish) but not enough light.

Double stage day.  Got 13 miles in with the boys in the trailer going to church, then got 6.5 in tonight on the way home without the boys, but in the dark would have done a little more since it was so nice after the rain but the charge on the light was dwindling quickly.

Trying to figure out how to get a stage in tomorrow before heading out camping for the weekend (probably without a bike)

Look at us, getting our stages in no matter what!

I did just over 32 miles this morning. Except for Triguy 25, we are all above 24% at this point, which is fabulous. Good job team!

As for Tri Guy, he said this was his first challenge, and I suspect he is new to BT in general. There is nothing in his logs at all. Perhaps he just needs a little guidance on how this all works?

Well I hate to say it, but if we can't get him on board, Kat will likely allow us to drop him from the team. I only say this so that everyone doesn't get discouraged about the team suffering, so keep going strong!

TriGuy25 - 2011-07-04 9:51 PM

hey everyone! sorry for the delay I was out of town for the weekend. My goal is to do 10 stages for 250 miles. This is my first challenge and I am very excited. First ride is in the morning!

Hey guys, see the above post ^^^. TriGuy25 just posted his goals on Monday and today is only Thursday. It's still the first week of the challenge and he was out of town. On Monday, he posted on this thread, and he also declared his goals. So I think that for now, we can assume he's working on his goals, but maybe he just doesn't have internet/BT access every day. But yes, it he *continues* to not log anything, then I think you can let Cat know and see how she wants to handle it.

Alright got in another stage tonight on the trainer of 30 minutes after a nice long swim.  Just to let everyone know I will be heading to the coast in the morning and won't be back till Sunday evening likely without computer access.  Don't worry these were missed stage days that I had planned for and I'm hoping maybe to get in a quick ride in the morning and maybe the resort might have a bike there, but those would be extra in relation to my stated goals.  I hope everyone has a great weekend, be safe, and keep it up because Team Garmin is Rockin this challenge.

Like D001, I still hold hope that Tri-Guy will arrive in the near future and will melt the rubber off his tires.  Heck, DOC you were gone for three days, posted your rides when you got back, and had a bunch of miles (short rides in your words Cool)

Would have put more miles in today, but I just got some new running shoes and wanted to save some gas to break in my new shoes.

Just ordered a new road bike and it should be here in about 4 days.woohoo!

Took the weekend off due to discomfort in my knee. Should be fine going forward with the challenge, if anything my run volume for July would be the only thing affected.

Team is looking great! Keep it up everyone.

Alright, I'm back and have to say that I came back from the beach just because I missed Team GarminWink.  Well I got in an unplanned stage Friday moring before we left and finally got in 12+ miles on the road tonight for another.  Your standings are different now BreezyWink, and are we allowed to do more than one stage a day or complete one on a tour rest day?  If so I ccould likely change mine to all 23 stages.
