But what do I know since I'm dishonest, stubborn, ignorant, blind, stupid, and arrogant.

Awww John, don't be dispirited. You dishonest/stubborn/ignorant/blind/arrogant people can sit over here next to slightly more than half the population who will never be satisfied and are genetically predisposed to blame others for ... something, I'm not sure what.

And let's not be naive here people most politicians do this type of thing. When I was in Law school VP Gore came to our school, ALL questions from students had to be submitted in writting on an index card prior to the "town meeting". Additinally when I was in undergraduate school Sen. Glenn came to speak at our school and again ALL questions had to be submitted in writting prior to being asked, and then the Sen. people picked which questions got asked.

It happens. It's not just Bush. I'm not saying it's right, or wrong, I'm just saying don't be so naive as to believe Bush is the first and only politician that has used this device to controll press conferences or question/answer appearances. In the early part of this countries history the candidates didn't even campaign themselves it was seen as "ungentlemanly". The election of 1800 is a great example. So the candidates weren't even subjected to being asked questions at all.

Do you have the date this occured. I don't believe Kerry ever held a Pro-Abortion rally, but if you have a date I'd like to research it on a , let's say, less biased forum.

The dateline for the story is April 27th, 2004. It mentions that the rally took place the Friday before, which would make it April 22nd, and that it was in anticipation of the pro-choice march in Washington on a Sunday, which would be April 24th.

Don from what I can gather these folks were roughed up but they were roughed up by the folks holding the rally and that WASN'T the Kerry campaign it was the pro abortion bunch. Kerry had about as much to do with this as G II had in the war in Viet Nam. Nothing. I will admit though that he is guilty by association. Now as for the folks that will physically prevent you from attending a Bush function, well as we learned here in SC, these folks are public employees so yes you can be prevented from seeing your prez by folks whose wages are paid by your tax dollars. Ain't it grand.

Regardless of whether it happened or didn't, removing hecklers from an event they were allowed in to is clearly not the same as prescreening attendees and only letting the "good" ones in.
