Wow that water feels NICE!! It's not much cooler than the indoor pool where I lap swim. Still gonna use the wetsuit though...because I can. GOOD LUCK everybody! See you all in the morning!

Ok, that was pretty cool. I love triathlons now! Of course my goal was not to walk any of the run and I walked a good portion of it. The run is what killed my time. I came in 1:40:30, which was in my goal range for my first tri (I put a limit of 1:45:00 on myself). Oh well, it was my first and at least I finished. Now I know what I need to work on for my next tri!

Hey does anybody know if run-far.com will have the results? I don't see the event on their website...

I'm not seeing the results posted on 3D yet. I don't know how long it takes though. I would like to see how I did in the athena group. Do you know where we can see/order the photos? I would love to have one of me on my bike.

First Tri , drove in from Little Rock. I'm not sure if I'll drive 9 hours for another event the day that I have to leave, but I loved it. Got to meet RGBILL, David and a few others. Water felt pretty good. I didn't do the OLY but that swim looked hella long!

Two things. IF anyone gets to see the timing soon let us know. and second does anyone remember the name of the photo people that were there. It was Klutz Photo or Kleutz or something but I'm not able to goggle it.

Thanks and great racing to every one.

First Tri : Time:1:25:19. Place 127/450 Not sure yet on age group or division

Congrats everyone.  Great weather for a race!

The photos take a few days to get posted, look for them around Wednesday.

I actually forgot this race was going on (in my own town and I forgot).  I'm off to read everyones race reports.

Photos usually take a few days, but race results should have been up within a few hours.  It's really frustrating that the site is still down this morning!

It was great to meet everyone.  I've got a race report ready to post once I can add the times in.

For those of you that thought hte OLY swim was short...were you in the first wave? If so, then you didn't swim the whole course. The first wave of the oly (not the elites, the next wave) turned at the double bouy instead of swimming all the way to the dam.

This was my fisrt TRI and I loved it. I was just over my goal of 2hrs. (I think I was about 2:08) I really enjoyed the course and enjoyed the whole event. The only downside I saw was that I was not expecting the run course to have so many "potholes" and wood laying everywhere. I had a really good time though and enjoyed all the camaraderie.

PS...I was the competitor with the prosthetic leg. I received lots of encouragement from lots of athletes. If any of you passed me and gave me encouragement, I want to say "Thank You!!" I was feeling pretty rough on the first 1/2 lap of the bike and everyone really helped me find my rhythm.

OH YEAH....Since so many people "called" me this yesterday, I think my new nickname is "Left!!"

Yeah - I'm surprised to hear that I missed a buoy. I'm nearly certain I turned at a single. I stayed to the far right of the course and had full view of the whole line of them -- unless there was a boat in front of it. But, I guess you're right, surfwallace. Times don't lie. Ug.

Either way - It really set me on cloud nine thinking I had such a strong swim. :-)

Arrgh!!  Isn't that one of the reasons for the volunteers on the lake -- to help with keeping us on course?

Like Surfwallce, I thought I turned at a single bouy, but my swim time was also much shorter than I expected.  Guess I can't claim this race as a PR then.

I was checking last night and it kind of looked like the results from other races were downloadable. Whoever gets the download first - post it up here so we can get off that site!

OMG!!! I knew I should have stayed for the award ceremony, but I didn't think it was possible for me to win anything. I won the athena division! Granted there were only 3 of us willing to admit we were over 150lbs, but still! Oh, and I checked out where I would have fallen in my age group and I think it was like 14 out of 22 or something, not completely shabby for a fat chick. Agh, I'm so mad I didn't wait around. Does the top athena get hardware? Can I pick it up somewhere?

Hey, I think I was standing right next to you in the grass before it all started. My family thought it was really cool that you were out there doing this. I saw you cross the finish line! Great job. You finished with a great time!

I saw david I think also, at least I saw some guy in the jersey he has in his avatar. Other then that I didn't recognize anybody, kind of hard to when all you have of them is some tiny picture.

Thanks for the link!  That's what I've been waiting to see.

How did you calculate that we only swam 1250 yards?  Just a rough guess that the 2nd bouy turn cut off about 250?

I attended the Multisport 101 meeting that they had Saturday afternoon and Kenny (RD) said that the last bouy was going to be 250 meters from the double bouy. I know I heard them say in the prerace meeting that the last bouy was 500 meters from the start. So...if you cut the swim short, you actually cut about 500 meters off your swim...at least that's how I figure it out. (start to double bouy=250m; start to last bouy=500m

PS...Only the first wave after the Elites cut it short. All the other waves did the swim course correctly.
