Well, I'm halfway through my 3'rd commute for this week (11 total) and the wind is killer today. 15mph with 30mph gusts. It only really effected about 1/3 of my ride to work, but it's supposed to get stronger this afternoon and about 1/2 will be at least partially into the wind.

Thanks for adding me to the group!

I rode/commuted FOUR times this week.....

Rain and a Tri will keep the bike in the basement most of the week though.

I got 5 commutes in this week. Giving me a total of 19 so far. I'm not even sure that have been 19 days without rain in Boston since May 1st.

Yeah, the rain here in Boston has been remarkable this May, and to be frank, depressing...luckily I got to ride out to the Cape last weekend, thereby reassuring myself that Memorial Day had come and gone meaning that (in spite of the rain) summer was here!

But anyway, I'm taking commute #13 of 45 planned on the bike today.

Go go bike commuters!   Enjoy dry roads and sunshine while it lasts...

Count me in to Bike to Work.
A direct route from home to office is 3.1 miles, but alas I never do the direct route. Living by epic MTB trails, I detour 3 miles up a dirt trail and down a small valley on singletrack. Trip becomes 8.5 miles each way. Plus I see deer and coyotes in the a.m.

Count me for 50+
not including today

Sorry for being MIA...I just returned from vacation as well (VT and Montreal).

I'll be sure to update my commuting stats with you via PM later this week.  Seems that JP and I are in both tops in "the most commutes so far" category.  He was recently in Chicago as well, so ya'll should compare notes...or at least the bike-related ones!

Right on guys! I remember when I worked at a big company commuting was hard but now... well that is a different story. I returned to school for my PhD in January and have bike every weekday since! Its only a 3 mile ride on hand-painted zebra bike. Since it is on my cruiser (every now and again my mountain bike, a Kona Coiler, or my road bike, some leader thing that isn't half bad) my goals have been interesting. This week I have been working on riding as much of the distance as I can without hands on my handle bars. I am somewhat lucky on my ride that is all on very wide (cars are not allow to park on them during the day) two lane roads with big bike lanes.

Congrats to all of you and good luck on your commuting journeys... I learn to hate driving around the city more and more each day.

Stormy weather and after-work commitments kept me off the bike most of this week. It's going to be tough to meet my goal, but I'll keep trying.

I've made 27 commutes as of 7/20 and should make my goal of 45 with one extra week to spare.

I wonder what happened to some of our non-reporting challengers...is everyone OK?
