I rode 8 miles tonight with my wife.  I suppose I should count the ride but it is nowhere near a training ride for me but it is a great time to spend with her.  She is just getting into riding but only as a fitness thing and not to be competitive at all.  She will likely not be getting more than 15 miles or so on any given ride.

Tomorrow is a long run for me so no riding.  I hope to knock down about 90 more miles on the bike this week but I'll not hold my breath.

soccermom15 - 2012-07-09 10:34 AM Hey guys.  Just updated my numbers on the spreadsheet - a really good 16 miles for me yesterday.  I feel like such a wimp compared to the rest of you but 16 miles is a long ride for me.  Sorry I haven't been around - having computer problems at home.  I did miss a day of riding (just a short ride though) on Friday.  I'll try to make it up this week if I can.

You're contributing to the team and that's what matters.  You don't need to worry about keeping up with anyone but your goals.

Put another 20 on the bike tonight.  Just a reminder to everyone you need to update your number of sessions along with your miles as it uses both numbers for calculations.  Someone hadn't put any number in and it wasn't calculating.  Looks like everyone is doing great.  Hoping a for a good ride on Saturday to bump my numbers.

Long run for me tonight so I'll not be contributing the challenge tonight.  I hope to make up for it on Friday and Saturday by getting in about 90 over those 2 days.

Couldnt resist chiming in here too.. this challenge is for YOU so its not about anyone else's goals... it is about reaching YOUR personal goals which in turn helps the team. And everyone 'wins' together with support along the way!

I'm glad you mentioned that - I was wondering.  I missed a session but plan to make up the miles.  Just don't know if it'll be by adding to others or squeezing in another ride.  Can we still make adjustments to our goals?

Short ride last night but hoping to get in a nice long one this weekend after my volunteer shift at the New Town Tri.

Great job so far everyone!!!

So, I am up to date through yesterday. I had a total of 155 miles while away.

That should help with our standings.

I will be having a long group ride in a couple days, so that should add also.

Keep up the great work everyone!

Hmm, I updated my miles this morning and we were at 48% so I must have just missed the cutoff.  Currently the spreadsheet shows 51% unless he is using a different calculation.  Either way nice job folks!  Not sure I will have miles in tomorrow but Saturday should get another 30-40 miles.

Added another 10 miles and will do longer ride tomorrow.  Any idea on what % we should be at?  Should know this but with work I have not been able to follow much of the TDF.

Put in another 27 miles yesterday. It was brutal. Just so happened to be an interval & climbing day. To add to it, it was windy, warm & humid. I would have liked to have added more miles, but just couldn't muster anymore.

Saturday is the Death Ride. Wish I could have participated, but work and the cost just keeping me away. 129 miles & over 15,000 feet of climbing. Next year it's a must.

I finished an easy 30 mile ride a little while ago.  I hope to get another 60 in tomorrow if the weather and my legs hold out.

33 miles yesterday. It was easy and could have done another 20-30+. I wanted to save the legs for later today after work, as I have a group ride of 50+. Since everyone in the group opted out of the Death Ride today, we decided to have one of our own (just shorter).

Not sure where we stand in the standings as of this morning, but I will do my best to keep us in contention. I would like to see us in the top 3 spots. We can do it!

Everyone keep up the hard work and I'm proud of everyone that is keeping to their goals.

I got 26 miles in this morning before work. Light sprinkling rain, at the beginning very refreshing a nice ride altogether. Like Stan, I'm saving the legs for a group ride in the morning, with a bunch of old guys that I can almost keep up with )

Cool

PS. Stan, your # of sessions is showing blank...

My long ride is done for the week.  I just finished 65 miles and I feel surprisingly good.  this is the longest ride of the season for me so far and I want to make sure I get these in as much as possible over the next 5-6 weeks.........HIM in 7 weeks.

It appears to me everyone seems to nailing down some good mileages.

I'm planning another 30 miles tomorrow after noon.

I did my best to boost our team ranking this morning. 95.6 miles. All was well until mile 75 when we stopped for breakfast and a beer. The last 20 miles back home were tough. Perhaps not the best nutrition plan, but it sure was good at the time.

Keep up the good work all.

Had a good group ride yesterday.

We put in 83 miles. Was a bit windy & warm, but felt like a good ride.

Edit: Looks like my numbers are a bit off. I'm going to have to add them up again to make sure they're right.
