jmk-brooklyn - 2012-11-16 11:19 AM I'm most definitely not saying "so what?" Please don't put words in my mouth. I'm saying, "Now what?" I'm curious what people think would be the appropriate response if it turns out that the conspiracy theories are true.

Sorry JMK, but you set up a strawman that the only people who want hearings are those who think it'll result in Obama being impeached or an election redo and I took that the same way you took me "putting words in your mouth."

There are those of us (a majority of those demanding hearings) who just want this administration and our State Dept to learn our lessons from a complete screwup.  The administration has spent a lot of time trying to move on from this subject before they learn the lessons from it.  You need some pain to learn not to keep doing the same thing.

Egypt has calmed-down for now, but what is keeping that from becoming another Iran Hostage Crisis?  The Iranian Students first started probing the Tehran Embassy in September 1979, they protested, they broke-up, they protested and climbed the wall, they broke-up, then in November, they took over the Embassy.

We had 3 chances to learn our lesson and did not in that case.  In this case, we have had several embassies protested and probed and we've had a consulate attacked and an ambassador killed.  We need to make sure State and the Administration are giving this at least as much attention as they are their push to raise taxes on the wealthy.

Maybe I’m not being clear about what I’m asking:

You said, “There are those of us … who just want this administration and our State Dept to learn our lessons from a complete screwup. The administration has spent a lot of time trying to move on from this subject before they learn the lessons from it. You need some pain to learn not to keep doing the same thing.”

So, what I’m trying to get from you is, “what does ‘learning their lesson’ look like?” What does, “pain” look like? Let’s assume that all the conspiracy theories are true—that the Administration knowingly deceived the American people for no good reason. What would you like to see as a result of those findings that would satisfy you and make you feel that lessons had been learned?
