I'm also down a pound this week. I think I'll see another loss tomorrow morning. For whatever reason, I'm always lower on Wednesday than Tuesday, but my BT challenge group weighs in on Tuesdays. Blech.

I went for a hike this weekend. I'm debating whether or not to count it for this challenge. I'm pretty far behind in the challenge right now, so maybe I should count it, but the challenge is really for running and I'm already counting my creak-out-of-bed-after-hike walk the next morning.


Nice! I'm going backpacking for 4 days in 2 weeks, and I'm super excited about it. I'm going for 3 days in November as well. One of my life-long goals is to someday through-hike the AT. Bad thing is that it takes about 6 months to do it, but that would be one hell of an adventure.

JEALOUS!!! I was supposed to go backpacking (just one night) a couple weekends ago, but rain and 30-40 degrees nixed that real quick-like. Haven't been proper backpacking in far too long, though I came close in September.

I've always flirted with the idea of thru-hiking the AT, but finally decided that I'm just not the best company for 2100 miles. I'd like to section-hike all of it, and it would be wicked fun to join you for a week or two, but not the whole thing at once.


It definitely takes a lot of heads up prep time to take 6-7 months away from work to get it done, but it's the experience of a lifetime.

I haven't been backpacking yet this year, just a few overnights. I'm looking forward to getting more time in this fall though.

it wasn't that bad, but my muscles are tired now. And still have running program tonight (I was making up a Thursday class I missed). I don't think I'll be turning in my best run tonight.

In yoga today we were doing some tortureab work, and I really, really noticed how much thinner my thighs are.

AND, I was able to do some of the yoga-y stuff I couldn't do before, like go straight from a lunge to putting two legs together. (Don't know how to explain, but it's progress!)
