geauxtri - 2008-12-16 10:35 PM So which Nibb shall I go to as a mentor this year???

Last year I picked someone I totally didn't know... it was okay, but our thread kind of sucked and aside from a few posts here and there we didn't communicate too much...

Maybe my NIbbs experience made my expectations too high?

Never-the-less I did make a new friend here...

So do I go blind again and make another BT acquaintance, or pick a Nibb?

Perhaps this is something I should sleep on

I'm trying to decide if I should try and be a mentor

I co-mentored with Yanti the last go-'round, not sure I'm qualified to do it on my own

geauxtri - 2008-12-16 10:32 PM HI NIBBS!!!

What a day... got off work early... met up with hubby and almost completed santa shopping for the kids... rushed 5yo to karate... went to liquer store and got ingredients for Bananas Foster... now I'm at the kitchen table listening to concert style Christmas music and posting... is almost kind of relaxing...

Mmmmm....bananas foster.  So yummy!!!

haven't had them since a while before I even left La...  Hubby has never had it.... and now that he's seen a recipe, he's worried I will burn the house down   I told him not to worry, as long as the flame doesn't escape the pot, we'll be okay

Artemis - 2008-12-16 11:58 PM Morning Nibbs!  It is rainy and windy today.  The wind was blowing through the mesh on my shoes and making my feet cold while I walked to work.

Its HOT this side of the world!!!

My toes would love that-they have been really cold all day.

I sympathise. I hate cold toes! And one they're cold, they're so hard to warm back up again!!!

kns57 - 2008-12-17 11:25 AM Baby & Mommy update. Mommy came home today. First thing they did was drive to see baby Owen and she did get to hold him finally. Now she is home ready to sleep after taking her pain pills. Owen is doing so much better. Had his EEG today (but we don't have the results) and tomorrow will have a MRI. He was down to 4% oxygen earlier today. So that is awesome. They are saying that he should be able to go home on Saturday.

Great news!

I think you are quite qualified... esp when it comes to advice on finding the time to train and balance life's demands of family, work, and other obstacles.
