I felt strong, comfortable, pain free. It's hard to believe I actually had that race. I'll share more later. As of now I've been up for 20 hours and am about to die! Holy cow, Kristin! Sub-6 is phenomenal! I can't wait to hear more! I was pretty overwhelmed by it all. I even cried a little in the car hours later while driving home (sappy, I know ). There was a point on the bike where I realized if I didn't have mechanical issues I was definitely setting a PR and likely close to 6 hours, then halfway through the run I felt amazing and did the math, I knew I had a shot at really going sub-6 so after the 10 mile mark I gave it everything I had. I did the longest hardest sprint to that finish, passed a bunch of guys ( ) and almost made it under 5:50. I am so ready for the Ironman now. Of course I'm happy to still have almost two months to get even more ready. |
