Wednesday was sunny so I skipped out about 1 and headed up to the first Gap and snowshoed on the road they close in the winter. Did about 5 total miles and it was absolutely beautiful. I have some pictures on an old blog post at my blog. Thursday I left town trying to beat a snowstorm which didn't happen so it was slow going. I love Gatlinburg from about the light at the Great Outdoor shop and up towards the NC border in the park. From I-40 to that point it is a glorified Niagara Falls/Las Vegas set up. They need to get a by-pass for the whole Pigeon Forde area so you can just skip the lights and shows and shops. No complaints though. Hopefully I get back again in the future I always enjoy it there! No kidding about the Pigeon Forge area. 20 years ago all there was there was a famous fruit stand that sold produce, jelly and honey. Now OMG!!! Mount LeConte area is fabulously beautiful. You were lucky, there is not always snow there. They must have know you would have snow DTs if you didn't have any. |

Utah gouhlie update: my daughter tried the "I dont feel very good, I'm staying home today" routine this morning. After she was at a friend's house after school until 9 pm last night. When we got home from the doctor's at 10:30, she was listening to music. being the wise mom I am (cough cough), I called her out and told her she had to go to school and try. I would try to find someone to come pick her up later if she needed to come home early. Mwahahaha. My son is on nebulizer treatment #3 this morning. And I just want to sleep off the take more heavy pain meds. I'm thinking we may have to call in grandma for reinforcement soon.  |

Don't worry, they do eventually come out of it a few years down the road. Just in time for your son to enter it. That's the wasy it was at my house with 7 years between the two kids.
