and It's closer to home so I won't be driving for over an hour unable to breathe and needing to go to the urgent care. 

Hmmmm, May is probably a bit too early for me... but End of October... a month and a half after my other HIM. Very interesting.

Well, true statement on the closer to home part, but I think you won't have the breathing problems this year.

I'm excited becuase I believe part of the change was because of the quality of water in the lake.  Last year I felt like I coudln't get the smell of gasoline off of me for a week, and it killed my lungs during the swim.

Ooh, good call. I always forget about that.

21 weeks.  Plenty of time to train. 

Though I can understand how it might be hard to get the time off of work once you land your fabulous new job.

You in spandex???? How can anyone resist that.  Let me ask Hubby if he will kill me if I sign up for it, he just might with the way I have been going through money of late.  But, I do have a nice new set of sculling oars and an erg to work on at home. 

Works for me.  I'm still tossing it around as well.  I love the IDEA of it... but the actual training might be a bit much while I'm still in the first year of this job.

Also, I don't know anyone around here yet to ride or run with, and there aren't many safe places to ride by myself.

I might have to *gasp* make friends or *double gasp* find a training group if I'm going to do it.

Yea, but doing a marathon 2 weeks after that might not be the best idea :P Also, at that point, I don't know if I'll even have taken my bike outside... No telling how safe my road handling would be! Damn winter/spring.

Well you can always meet me at flatwoods on the weekend or I can come down there to go for a ride with you.

Hmmmm... I could definitely be convinced to do this. Now you have my gears working. I just need to find a job to pay for this. I am liking the sound of it for the moment, though!

Cozumel is in my plan for 2013, so maybe this can be a warm up tour for the year after...

Though truth be told, I prefer lake swims to ocean swims when racing.
