OK that's cool I really like it! Still a fair amount of climbing but some good flats to practice speed on the flats.
- Times are TBD as we still figure out who is coming.
- We'll do 2 loops with the option of those who only want to ride 25 can jump off after loop one or join at loop 2.
A few thoughts on group rides as we grow as a club: (input wanted)
- This is a RULE we need to start implementing on ALL group rides, especially new routes: KNOW THE ROUTE. If you do not have it studied, bring cut sheets. Most ESCKTC rides are no drop rides but it is STILL always a good idea and good cycling etiquette to know the route and not rely on another person to tell you where to go
(I am guilty of this myself, big time
).
- Depending on the number of people we have, and people's training plans we may be able to do a "group within the group" system. We have discussed this every single time we ride but have yet to implement trying it:
- Fast Group
(those who need to work on speed that day, intervals, etc, aka doing their own thang
)
- Fun Group
(those who are out there to hang out, chat, get some time in the saddle
)
Groups can obviously change according to your training plans. I think it would be nice to start saying which group we plan on being in that week. If you want to be a part of the fast group its sort of a drop group, either you hang or you don't, every person for themselves. Fun group is the no drop group.
This way everyone can be a part of group rides which are so much fun and so beneficial but still adhere to training plans, or just come out and have a GOOD time.
