I used to always have long beatifully polished fingernails and my toenails were also always done

gave up on my fingernails a few years ago and now they are short and unpolished - my toes, well - I do like to keep them polished (I'm a little behind right now)

I love the way it looks... until I chip something which is usually within 24 hours max!

I think this might be one more reason to have a cabana boy. You sit around and make sure your nails stay pretty while he does all the heavy lifting (and brings umbrella drinks).

I like how you think...

x2!!

Hmmm... I missed some discussion but I'm liking the cabana boy! I spent my night exploring Brooklyn. After living in Manhattan for 10.5 years I have to move to Brooklyn due to big changes in my personal life. I was upset about it but I really loved what I saw tonight so for the first time, I'm hopeful. I'm headed off to bed so I can get my 20 miles in tomorrow. Cross your fingers that it goes well!

Hi team

How goes it?

I'm feeling sort of icky today - sore throat, snuffy, just plain icky and run down

Hi Beth, sorry you still don't feel well. I woke up a little icky too, I can't tell if it's fall allergies or a cold. I've had to take a couple hours to get over a nasty headache before I can start my 20-miler. I'm hoping to motivate myself out the door in the next half hour. I'm not feeling tip-top so I'm going to take this one slow and not even attempt my marathon pace.

It's been quiet around here. Everyone must be out running!

good luck on the run Kristin!  I hope you feel better as the run goes on

I'm going to lay low today - this started on Friday and I have felt worse every day, so it's not allergies, - I have the whole achey thing going on - I think all of the pressure of the past few months has finally caught up with me and my body is saying rest (either that or I'm lazy )

Hey guys, just finished my 20-miler. Pace was amazing, but I'm in a world of hurt. I had a nasty stomach cramp from 15-20 that was hard to fight through. But it's done and now it's taper time!

Now I'm at Starbucks getting my recovery drink - a grande salted caramel hot chocolate. That stuff is like liquid crack. I thought about it the last 5 miles.

I had so much wonderful food there I lost track!

Food is my favorite part of vacation!  I always take a vacation from watching my diet, too!

I am just at the airport and I am already eating bad. And for the next two weeks, I see Schnitzel and Leberkassemmeln and Krautsemmeln and Currywurst in my future.  ;-) I will so regret that.

About what I was figuring, though I was hoping for better.  Thought I was going to come under 4.5hr but when I hit the wall as 21.5 I hit really hard.  Last few miles where a run/walk just to keep going.  That and I felt sick to my stomach everytime I started running again, and was a little concerned about that, so I didn't push the issue to hard.

Official chip time 4:34:08, gun time 4:38:00.3.  I am very pleased with the overall performance of the race, though I broke down towards the end.

Thanks, plus breaking a PR by 30 mins is enourmous.  You can't ask for much more than that.
