Morning Nibbs!

It is a brisk fall day indeed (no snow here thank goodness!)

That is why our old neighbors moved down there.  They said they buy about 6 weeks annually from a later fall and earlier spring than up here in Buffalo.  Somehow I don't think the traffic and mass amounts of people you have to deal with make it worthwhile but that is just me

it's actually sort of strange - because where I am actually living is a lot like living in a small town - the traffic really isn't all that bad

lot's of people in the geographic area - but sort of spread out over a lot of towns, townships, burroughs -

I'm not sure I'll every quite figure that all out - lol!

I've heard nice things about Buffalo - espcially the grocery stores

Y'know...you could move even south-er...buy about 2 months more annually AND not have lots of traffic and people.

Just saying.

(from a converted midwesterner - I need my seasons, all 4 of them, but I'm OK with winter being very short)

In other news, I made deeeeeee-licious dinner tonight:  grilled lemon pepper tilapia brown & wild rice and grilled asparagus.  Aren't I so healthy??

Then I ate a small but decidedly evil (kinda like my heart) pumpkin donut.  Oops.

Wow thats another one of those weird american food things

It's funny, we have actually been talking about all things pumpkin in my run challenge thread and the Aussie girls on the team had that very same reaction!  Everything pumpkin in the fall!!!  Pumpkin lattes, pumpkin squares, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin bread, pumpkin soup, and apparently pumpkin donuts.

So very disappointed you missed the pumpkin cheesecake...

I've made pumpkin cheesecake. It's much more tasty than pumpkin pie in my opinion and I dont' have to worry that my pie crust isn't as lovely as my grandmother-in-law's.

Well, I imported them this season but then used ones from my book (Essential Triathlon training....Matt Fitzgerald). His off season plans didn't warm my heart.  2 choices, one easy one moderate no specific focused ones...just mainteneace plans.  I need to start kicking butt on the bike, like I said.  It's time to beat Jen and Kristen for passing me last summer

Hmmm. Ma'am. I accept that challenge.

You realize that this will not be forgotten...

sesh - 2008-10-22 1:09 PM Late chiming in, but the BT plans are fantastic.  I had to shift one around to fit my schedule, but I stuck to the actual workouts religiously and took 17 minutes off an Oly time.  The swim workouts are really, really, really good if you can motivate yourself enough.

Guess I could mash some up.... Oly Swim and Bike sessions with a Beginner run training or something...

I think thats the only real issue... I will have to customise to find one that suits my abilities?

I do o.k. at mashing.  Let me know if you need help meshing the programs Cat...

Good morning, Nibbs! I sincerely you hope you are all sleeping right now... well, you know, if you live in my hemisphere and whatnot .

Not anymore...it is nearly time for my Botany final and I have gotten in very little studying.

Hope the test went well Mel...

The last few mornings I have had to scrape the ice off my car

I had to run to my parents place the other day to take all my 'babies' into their garage.  I have a bunch of new plants that I need to get into the ground.  They would not be happy to have their scantily clad roots frozen.

No idea-I'm focusing on the botany that is directly applicable to me playing in the dirt.

Maybe I'll go back in my spare time to work on all the microscopic aspects...if I ever have any spare time.

I know...just joshin with ya...too bad our bodies can't digest cellulose...there'd be a lot of food in the woods...

Good luck on your test!

It would be nice to have that abundant a food supply, but I have too many gut issues already.  The cows can keep their special bacterias-I am okay without it.

Test is done-I could have done much better-but I most likely have a midrange A.

Thanks for the joshin
