I just wandered on to BT girls '08-it is hilarious. There is almost 50 posts of the guys arguing about proper grammar.

It is a really funny thread, as well as a lovely pictorial of the fabulous women we have here.

I agree. I've put up a few pics, but I hadn't dropped in for a while. I think I will put up my froggie pic.

That is such a sweet pic and you do look amazing in it. The best of a wintry girl!

A nice contrast to trixie in Arizona.

LOL. It was a consideration. But that's all I had for lunch ... I woke up briefly at 2 p.m., ate Pop tarts, and went back to bed 'til now.

I do have some yummy chili left (with big chunks of steak in it), and it would probably clear my sinuses out nicely, but I don't really feel like it.

Maybe I should have it anyway.

It provides a heck of a lot more protein than tea, toast, pop tarts, and even broth provide.

geauxtri - 2008-12-16 10:32 PM HI NIBBS!!!

What a day... got off work early... met up with hubby and almost completed santa shopping for the kids... rushed 5yo to karate... went to liquer store and got ingredients for Bananas Foster... now I'm at the kitchen table listening to concert style Christmas music and posting... is almost kind of relaxing...

Mmmmm....bananas foster. So yummy!!!

haven't had them since a while before I even left La... Hubby has never had it.... and now that he's seen a recipe, he's worried I will burn the house down I told him not to worry, as long as the flame doesn't escape the pot, we'll be okay

Not too hard.  My roommates and I managed to not burn the house down in college when we made it on an electric stove and lit it with a butane torch.  I think you'll be fine.

hi Mel!

Hi-ya Tink!

how goes it?

I, being exceptionally talented, hit my head on the car door giving myself a concussion. I believe that the trauma my brain experienced compromised my immune system. That in turn led to me getting a super nasty cold. It turns out that the cold virus has mutated and now can travel through BT threads. It got Yanti. I am starting to recover, but still have quite a bit of residual mucus throughout my respiratory system. Unfortunately Yanti is still experiencing the full effects of this incredibly nasty cold.

And if it's a chicken based broth - the chicken fat in the broth has anti-bacterial type effects.
