rh8463 - 2010-10-08 6:16 AM Ok, I'm writing my grocery list for the weekend and need to think of 5 meals for next week. Totally lacking any inspiration - suggestions anyone?

1. Chicken vegetable soup

2. Beef stir fry with rice

3. Lamb chops with a really nice salad

4. Pork chops with potatoes and baked apples

5. Stuffed peppers (capsicum)

6. Spaghetti bolognese with salad or a veggie

7. Tacos!!!!!!!!!!!!

8. Do-it-yourself pizza

9. Baked chicken and sweet potatoes (yams)

10. Tuna or chicken casserole

I was going to say tuna casserole - I am craving it...

Funny, me too. I think it's because I feed the 'kids' "Tuna Surprise" nearly every day but haven't eaten any tuna myself lately. Also because I'd have to make it from scratch, nowhere to order or buy it here.

Mmmm, I think we have 4 winners there. I'm going to go with the soup, tacos (mmmm), DIY pizza and modify the pork for a pork and apple casserole with veggis I think....

Whatever you have left over from those 4 can go in a fried-rice or another casserole on Day 5.

Good luck, but hope you fail and it becomes a long bike ride (assuming riding is one of your goals)

Yanti - it turns out poptarts don't get sold in Australia!! So my experimentation will have to wait until I live somewhere else!

WHAT?! Of course they do. Maybe not currently. Cat saw them as recently as several months ago.

Really?! I will have to try harder. I looked briefly and then google told me they were discontinued over here...
Will look more thoroughly at the weekend and report back.

They were on sale here for a bit a fair while ago, think it was while I was still at uni, so half my life ago.  Do a search on USA foods which is a company here in Melbourne that imports heaps of different US style food and sweet things.  I used to get my root beer from there for a bit until I found other suppliers.

So, I saw the NP at work today and do have an ear infection in both ears...  She actually said that she's surprised I waited this long to have them checked out.  I guess that says good things about my tolerance for pain!?  Anyhow, got some ear drops so they should be better soon!

And after that, I had an appointment to have some carpal tunnel tests on my right wrist. Turns out I have moderate mobility loss and am being referred to a neuro guy.   It sounds bad but I'm actually pretty excited to maybe get some relief from the on and off thumb numbness I've had for the last 2 years.

One of my friends had carpal tunnel release a few years ago, is glad she had it done.

Frosted Strawberry are all that are required in life.

I just mentioned the multigrain ones as a side bar - I am firm believer in real pop-tarts coated in yummy frosting and covering strawberry goo inside - yummy licious

You guys have a great evening and take it easy on the posting - it is the weekend

No, it isn't the weekend until TOMORROW, Bill.  You are trying to get a head start on it

Thanks everyone for wishing me luck! I guess it worked, because that's what I accomplished.

Never mind the dropped chain, the broken grease guard, the howling dog, the rain, the ants pouring down my face and neck and arm biting me, and now I *really* look like a hyena and dagnabbit IT HURTS!

I may have to drown my sorrows in some Benadryl.
