Geez, it sounds like we all need the R&R of the islands ASAP!

I'm also fending off a summer cold. I've spent the better part of the last 2 days in bed trying to get better.

My kids are both in school again! Woot woot! However, The Boy is pulling his all-time best impression of a kid who couldn't give a crap about school. We moved him from the gifted and talented magnet program into the regular neighborhood school this fall, and hoped that the reduction in the workoad would take care of the issues he was having with completing his work. He has some ADHD issues, and was diagnosed about a year ago with some mild fine coordination issues, but he uses a laptop and has gotten better with writing (slightly) in the past year or so. He can do the work, he just chooses not to. He's super super slow at gettign work done, and I'm starting to wonder if he's on the right ADHD med, because he's spending so much time just staring off into space. Last night it took 2.5 hours to do a 6 question assignment from his social studies book. Ugh.

Sorry Amy. Have you thought about seeing a counselor to get some tips on how to manage with your son? My sister and BIL have been going with my nephew for a few weeks now. A few things my sister has called bunk, but they have gotten some helpful info, too, and they have seen improvements in their son.

I'm flying from BWI into Key West International Airport. I'll get their Friday, I think my plane is supposed to land around 1:35, I'll send your guys a PM with flight info later. I was wondering about the car, too. We don't all need cars. If a couple people get I'll throw some sheckles your way to help pay for it.

I am flying into the Key West airport.  Not getting a car, because Key west is so small, and there is not really much parking.  I fly in on Tuesday evening, Hubby flies in on Thursday evening.

So if Robin goes missing, we check with Ann.

Want me to come down and keep you company? I can bring the wonder pups for safety.

Ok, that's not really all.

We bought my son an ipad last night, so he can take it to and from school, eliminating the "I got it done at school, it's on the school laptop" excuse, along with the "oops, I forgot to save it" excuse. His teacher was so excited when we took it in this morning. Cross your fingers for us, gouhlies. He needs to turn this around. 

Good luck! Are you going to let him have games on it? They may be a distraction at school.

The hubbie and I are driving to my mom's near Sarasota then taking the Ferry with our bikes to Key West. No car for us, either. I am not sure what Kim or Neal are doing. I figure we can walk just about any where we need on the island and our house is pretty darn central.
