Where's your blonde? Is she not still in the picture? TB just laughs at me. I may be moving again soon. There's possibilities open on the East Coast.
East coast would bring you closer to the kids and TinkerBeth. Maybe the kids would even be a car ride away rather than a plane ride. There is hope. |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Nibbs XV kns57 - 2008-02-25 9:34 PM Please do not make any teams as large as Swimming Rocks is this month. I think people got lost. Yeah, I didn't particularly want to do that, but the swimming and biking groups started out very small. So I figured we were OK with just one team of each. After all, most people who did the Poll said they wanted to RUN. (Therefore, I made 4 running teams.) Then, all of a sudden, people started coming out of the woodwork, declaring swimming and biking goals - and NOT running goals. (So much for offering a poll...) And I was too busy at work to do much about it. Next thing I knew, those teams were at 30 people each. That's why those two teams had co-captains. |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Nibbs XV barqhead - 2008-02-26 3:26 PM Hiya, Nibbs. Just finished another strangely enjoyable run. Don't know if I'm signing up for the March challenge. Now is not the time to push beyond my coach's plan and to put down an "easy" number seems to defeat the purpose of the challenge. Maybe I'll just lurk and cheer/jeer on the threads. I debated joining the challenge. I'm just so stressed at work, and will be for at least several more months. Then, I figured that if I don't join the challenge, I'll spend EVERY waking moment at work. So I declared a small goal. This way, at least I'll HAVE to take a few minutes, several times per week, and do something OTHER than work. That said, I'm already panicking about how I'm going to get everything done for work. All I do is work. (My training log is really sad looking this month.) And despite all the work I've been doing, I'm just falling further and further behind! *sigh* |

No, it's been quiet here since Beth got her new job. Of course, if you time it right, you'll be online when she is. And then the posts start flying. LOL |

They seriously can't expect you to keep up with your workload AND your coworker's. They are living in a dream world. What are they going to do? Fire you? That would help the workload. So your "small" goal is still very much a challenge with all this crap and a good stress release. I don't see how you do it without going postal. |

This afternoon, for example, I had a brief fantasy about walking into my boss's office, saying "I quit," and then heading straight to the airport and booking a one-way trip to a nice sunny island. Just as I was deciding whether I should head to the Caribbean, or the South Pacific.... Someone stuck their head in my doorway and said, "Do you have a minute? I have some questions.".... Bleh! |
