Slugger - 2008-12-10 1:10 AM Hello Toddies! So, I can't remember which thread this was in, and I'm too lazy to go check, but my fav PB is Teddies Extra Super Duper Crunchy to the Hilt. Like, you know, one peanut out of every fifty or so was smashed. Used to HATE crunchy PB, then something switched, and now creamy freaks me out (except in cooking, of course). But, alas, I don't eat much PB at all because my BFF is allergic to all nuts and as she regularly does my dishes in exchange for my cooking, I don't want to risk giving her a reaction if I accidentally leave something out. Worth giving up the PB for my BFF! Here's my confession, though: more than I miss PB, I miss Nutella. Mmmmmm, Nutella. Proof that God loves us. In this case, I use my BFF as an excuse to not eat entire tubs of it, which might possibly do bad things for my weight loss goals...

One of my favorite morning foods is PB on whole wheat english muffin.  Last week, I ran out of PB and found the Nutella hiding in the back of the pantry.  Now I'm out of Nutella.

I started to run as a requirement to qualify for my first black belt....that was about 3 years ago....after I got my black belt, a friend encouraged me to continue running and I did a 10 mile race in Philly....I also lost alot of weight as a result of running....so now I run because I actually love it!....I never thought I would say that when I first started!....I am grateful to my friend who pushed encouraged me to keep running.  Unfortunately, we are no longer friends.  <img align='middle' src='https://beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/images/emoticons/frown.gif'>

Running on ice! Yikes! Now that's dedication.

The Yaks worked wonders although they slowed me down a little.  I actually felt pretty stable for the whole 5 miles.

Then I walked 3 blocks to the grocery store tonight (without the yaks) and about fell on my butt 3 or 4 times.  Go figure

no, it was really a huge misunderstanding that turned very ugly....I guess the running was the best gift I got from her.

This is what I've figured out.  Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

white: nothing written in the blog for that day.

yellow:  Writing in the blog, but no workouts logged.

peach: swim, bike or run related workout

dark peach: other workout (sports or strength) No tri sport training

green: race!  My personal fav

blue: Record body related info (ie. weight) or log food?

I'm starting the training in January, but I'll be training for an HIM first, then kicking the training into high gear this spring. I'm also going to do a marathon after it, either NY or Chicago. My coach, god willing I can afford to hire him, will help me figure out what I can accomplish without hurting myself.

I don't think the whole wheat really provides that much of a health benefit.  But it makes me feel better about eating one a day.

Answered the run question in the other thread.

I think I already answered the race: I'll either do Give Peace a Tri (sprint) or Black Fly Tri (also sprint), then a bunch of 5Ks and maybe a 10K or two. I use tris as a transition during spring he!! season in the mountains while the snow melts out. And as a good excuse to hang out here!
