ironannekidd - 2013-01-02 8:31 AM I have an iPad. I got the kiddos Kindle Fires for Christmas. I like the Fires. I have an Amazon Prime membership, and it is my account that they are associated with, so we get free movie/tv/books every month. I walked 2.76 miles on the treadmill last night while watching Thor. It was the easiest time I've ever done on the treadmill. I was only walking 2.1 mph, but I had the Kindle right there on the little shelf on the treadmill, my headphones in, and I didn't have to pay attention to anything else that was going on. I LIKED IT!

YEA!!! I need to do something to make my treadmill time not so awful. I'll have to save up for a gadget, though. We are a little stretched right now.

We have a TV downstairs, but yesterday Caleb was playing on the xBox when I was on the treadmill. Having the screen right in front of me, and using the headphones, was really nice. I focused on what was right in front of me, and didn't have all the distractions of the chaos that is my house. Milo would come over and stand beside me, I could scratch his ears while I was on the treadmill.

The ones in town here usually happen right on the 4th. I don't know how they will do it this year since it is in the middle of the week. They usually hold with the 4th though. When is her birthday? Wow... a birthday with a 0 already!

Her birthday is the 3rd. We are going on the family vacation to the beach this year sometime in July, but I don't think it's her birthday week. If it is not I might bring her down there for a few days, if that's ok with you. With her birthday being in the summer, and right there by the holiday she's never really had a big party with friends, usually just family. I already told her she can have a birthday party in May, or early June, so she can invite friends from school. I still want to do something special for her birthday though.

The boy will be 13 in March. Where does the time go?

That would be great! We will be leaving for the Highland Games on the 8th or 9th for the week. Anytime before then, Come on Down!

I did call the place I remembered having it last and they said no one turned in a wallet. I should probably check my bank activity, too.

I'll have to wait until closer to the time to make definite plans. Last year she was still playing softball because of rain outs. She may have to miss a game or two this year though. We may be down though. We liked it there. She can swim. I can take her rock climbing again. Maybe... just maybe...

I survived the grandkids.  The youngest was diagnosed with the Flu right before coming to us.  So, we were all taking precautions while he was here, but I have to admit I am feeling a bit stuffy today.  Of course, I did not get enough sleep while they were here.  Grandma was up every morning by 6:30 am feeding the cats and getting breakfast ready for a house of 9 or 10 people.  And of course I could not go to sleep at night before everyone else, so I got the least amount of sleep.  The other adults would roll out of bed by about 8:30 or 9:00. 

We went to Snow Mountain and had a blast on Saturday.  Sunday we did lunar golf (indoors with black lights) and then the Lake Lanier Magical night of lights.  Monday I spent getting everything ready for the party while my DD and her hubby went off and purchased a car.  Luckily my hubby helped me get everything ready for the party and two of the grandkids were up the street playing, so I only had the younger two to keep occupied.

Party new years was a blast.  I got to bed by about 2:30, read till 3:00, and was up before 8am. 

Tuesday was packing up the kids, two cars, taking down decorations inside and out, sheets for 5 beds and  towels washed.

Today, I am just exhausted.  I think I will go home early.  Everything is covered here at work.
