wemoon - 2007-11-14 4:27 PM So how did I know that you all were going to tell me to take my bike in. Argh! I honestly am lazy right now, which is mainly why I don't want to. I know he would have no problem with it, but it would entail actually making an appointment, getting my bike off the trainer, putting the bike rack on my car and then my bike, driving to another town during a time when I have childcare and then doing it all over again in reverse. I'm going to play with it a little more and if I can't come up with anything, I'll go in.

Hi Jeni!

LOL - somehow I knew you were going to say that ;-)

Nibbins Notes

Jeni – got in a quick ride, swimming today on her own no instructor.  Looking for some cycling help.  Bike issues, advice from the Nibbins – take it to the LBS. She hears the advice, but not sure if she's going to just yet.

Amy – Dinner’s in the oven, her son thought it had disappeared – LOL.  She is going to run tonight and maybe go for a ride – spent the morning in the Kindergarten classroom – hmmmm, sounds quite exciting

Dee – plotting Hector’ reward for after his tri; tassels, ribbons and pom poms appear to be under discussion.  Analyzing her swim times.

Heather – analyzing the proportional reality of the green giant – his legs, his legs!!  Little one had his last shot today J  She spent the day creating teams 5/6 grade girls.  She loves her white cafe’ mocha (no whip cream)

Kendra – the Nibbins new story teller, is it Twisted Twisnibbins or Naughty Nibbins?  Her new avatar is a pic of her grandsons at Halloween.  Oh and we have to be good little Nibbins while she tells us a story ;-) (doesn’t seem like that’s likely to happen – LOL)

Tammy – very thankful for the swimming advice!!!  Tried out the first workout from Pam today and it ROCKED!!!!

Cat – getting a massage – HOT massage guy, went for a swim, still having headaches.  Needs a business case for a laptop.

Mila – take what she says with a grain of salt and serve it with a margarita – she is just one of the guys!  Advice – don’t stay out until closing when you go out with the guys if you want to stay out of trouble

Scott – Fleet was very understanding, full store credit – got a pair of Mizuno Alchemys!  Bought a Man Purse.  10 miles on the Drainer.  Foot is feeling much better. Mind numbing meetings today

Sal – fell asleep at the concert, poor guy – just tired, not a bad parent. No workout, slept in this morning  - that always feels so good!  Time for a new pic – evidently we’ve depleted his supply – LOL.

Lyssa – posted a hot pic – Nice Boots!!! She received several requests for a whip????

Pam – still having trouble with the hip – going to do a 3 mile run today.  Pace was good , not feeling good about HR

Sharon – is a happy fishy, obviously still feeling great from her swim

Donto – did his core #4, ice cream and chocolate syrup – didn’t watch all of the Biggest Loser, hmmmm??  Rode his bike to work again today, WTG!!!

Hector – wanting to know what his reward for his tri is going to be, must have been another day of hard work for Hector, we hardly got to see him

Other topics
  • Bacteria Cause Chocolate Cravings
  • Flirted with a discussion on politics???????
  • The need for blackberries for the nibbins, so we can discreetly post in Twisnibbins as we look very important in our meetings!

 I'm off to swim!

Heeeeeyyyy

I need to adjust my running goal. I have 18 completed for the month, and I'm thinking maybe 25 is a better goal than 60. Does anyone know what it is when the arch of your foot hurts? Is it my shoes or what? I was thinking it was PF but isn't that usually in the heel?

Anyway. The swimming is still going well ("well" being a completely relative term, of course. ). Today I did 50 yards that I actually felt comfortable, instead of feeling like "oh my gosh I must make it to the other side or I'm going to drown". Now if I can only replicate that next time I go swimming, I'll be in great shape.

Beth I think it's time for a Twisnibbin update (unless you did one and I missed it!).

Ice baths work even better!  it's painful, but effective - when I started doing that I really started to see improvement

fill a container with Ice and water and submerge your foot for 15 min

Checkout this foot exercise called Short Foot Posture, it's for strengthening the muscles in the foot arch.  Also massage/roll it on a ball, bottle or small weight to release any knots you may have.  I did it yesterday and my foot immediately felt better (I have PF).

Beth is right. You actually look sexy with it, like a man-about-town.

Spokes, you're so hot with the murse I'd throw you a hit, LOL!

1. man-purse

A carrying case for men, yet similar to a large purse for women rather than a briefcase. Very VERY metrosexual (and European). It's the metro way to carry a lot of stuff around.

Hehe, look at that guy's man-purse. He must be from France.
