Question from pg 20something.... how do you cook mustard greens???

Nothing fancy about it.

Yeah, I keep ham hocks in the freezer for the dog.... and occassionally add when I cook corn soup, but didn't think about the mustard greens... I tried the classic cajun oil, onions, garlic - then added chicken broth instead of flour... edible but not "pass me more of that" tasty....

I've done similar.  Cook them down in some oil with garlic.  Tasty, but not ham hock tasty.  You can always add some onions, too.  Mmmmmm..

Hello! Wow, I get busy at work and do a run over the weekend, then all of the sudden Nibbs is 30 pages long.

Nice work

heh! it's what we do

you should have been around last November - lol!

And we do it well! And yes, November was insane. I don't think any of us slept much. We were too scared that we'd never catch up with the thread again. LOL

ummm.... I don't think I DID keep up...

that was what Nibbs notes were for

Exactly!

(Although Nibbs notes were, um, subject to interpretation by their author...)

I'm starting to smell myself from my sweatfest b/t the warm temps at work and running in the store... suppose that hubby might appreciate me not stinkin' up the bed.... so I'm off to shower and then read stories...

Gosh... after talking about southern cooking, I think I may try to convince DS #1 to read Petite Rouge Riding Hood (she brings boudin, etoufeé, gumbo, and other yummies to grandmere)

I'm struggling with feeling good about myself today.

Tell me something good that happened to each of you over the weekend.

(and no, I'm not going into details of why I'm down. I just need some perspective, thanks).

I slept an entire 12 hours straight! And I went for a swim... first time back in exercise since the emergency trip to New Zealand...

Oh and I sat and had a coffee and a sweet bun while reading Better Homes and gardens magazine.

Nope... its not good stuff that happened to me, its good stuff I made happen (if you are looking for a flip in perspective)

YAY! CAT SWAM! Are you going to bike for the TdF challenge?

Trying to work it out... the hard part is predicting how my body will react to the lack of sleep... combined with the exercise...

What's the minimum allowable?

Theoretically... 1 stage of 15 minutes in duration

OK, that's your goal.

Lol - Id like to think I could do the 21 stages again... just pop to the gym after work each day...

Well, how about 9 sessions? That would be 3x a week.

After all, if you hit that, you can always increase your goal, right?

Fortunately, the one I did the following weekend went much better. Now I'm training for a long course tri which will be in 5 weeks.
