I'm a little late to the party tonight so thanks for the recap!

On a personal note, my left leg is feeling a bit better and I have 15 miles slated for tomorrow. I hope to come back and report that it went well.

I probably missed the answer to this, but when we do post our goal miles? I still have to count them actually....

Here's hoping your 15 miler is smooth.

Last I could tell Cat hadn't done the spreadsheet so I guess the official goal doesn't have to be posted yet   Gives you a chance to see how you're feeling with hses long runs.

When is the marathon you're building for?

No, I'm checking in between cleaning bathrooms. It's a chore I really dislike but noone else will do around here.  Had to scrub litter boxes too (really icky).  I need a bath now cause it  makes me feel gross thinking about the nastiness.

So Kristin,

what brings you and 2Goggs together?

I'll be jockstrapping at the Chicago Marathon, I have a bunch of friends racing and hated to miss it. I ran it the last two years but decided to do NYC this time instead.Should I trip him for you when he runs by?

oh please

then I can listen to him whine about it

I think it's that 1/2 Asian in him.

Isn't it rude of us to talk smack about someone who doesn't read the thread and doesn't know we're talking smack?....Nah, I'm not very nice Besides, we all know we like him.

Yeeeiiiikes, bathroom AND litter duty? That is cruel and unusual. I generally end up with the bathrooms but try to pawn off the litter whenever possible. My cat is lovely, but his litter habits are disgusting.

I have 3 cats.  My kids are supposed to do the boxes but I think they only do one at a time.  My 2 male cats have" issues" with the box that doesn't help.  Oscar can only use a particular type of litter and doesn't like to share the box. (in a house with 2 other cats he wants his own potty!)  Needless to say I have to put him in the powder room when no one is home so he will use it.  Mocha gets cattitude.  Won't use it if it's dirty.  Copy is the only one with no issues.  My kids are also supposed to clean their own bathroom but obviously don't.

At least I'm not cleaning the refrigerator or something. I hate that job too.  Always a good day if I don't find any "ufo"s in there (unidentifiable food objects)

Yeah, the fridge can be pretty revolting. I once had to clean out the work fridge and found a package of turkey that expired in November. It was April. I didn't eat turkey for awhile!

hmmmm, so I'm gathering that there must have been some discussion around first jobs - probably no surprise for those of you who know me

my first job was swim instructor, followed by lifeguard - and yeah, it's harder than it looks!

No, actually, Phil said something about minimum wage being $7.+ soon and her rmemmbered getting 3 something as a kid but I remembere getting less.

I'm also old enough to remember paying 5 cents for stamps and people being freaked out at gas prices when it was 50-75 cents/gallon.

LOL!

I remember going to the gas station with a couple of dollars and having it be enough to be enough gas to cruise on a weekend night (yeah, I was sooooooooooo hot in my parents Ford LTD station wagon - did I mention the wood paneling?)

ROTFLMOA!

Hehe.  We used to "cruise" in a friends beat up ole Brady Bunch station wagon.  Do they still make wood-paneled wagons?
