LazyMarathoner - 2009-06-24 9:09 PM Hey guys. I ran. It was hot (heat index of 100, actual temp mid-90s) and relatively miserable since it followed a 57 mile ride. But I got to see the IMWI course so it was worth it. I only have 9 miles to go for goal and should make it, although Saturday's brick run was shortened from 7 to 5 since my ride was increased to 120 (gulp). So I may be a couple short

Nice job getting out there in the heat!  Enjoy the rest of your training weekend!

Yeah, on vacation and waking up at 4:45 do not go together.

And you would NEVER do that for a work morning either.  I know I don't.

Yesterday we got a call that an agent wanted to show the house from 6:30 - 7:30.  Cuts into packing time, but we want to sell it, so okay.  I picked up my son after work, got my daughter at home, then took the kids to McDonalds to kill some time.  Stopped to pick up a couple things, then arrive home at 7:45.  Nobody's there, so we assumed they'd come and gone and we got started packing.  8:05 the doorbell rings - they're running "alittle" late.  I make them give us 5 minutes, rush around putting all the half-packed stuff in closets, then take the kids for a walk.

My son is already in his pj's, and I rushed out without thinking of shoes, so I had to carry him.   And I must have had a little pebble or something in my shoe, because as we are walking back the ball of my foot starts to hurt.  I stop and shake my shoe out, but the pain gets worse as we keep walking.  When we get back to the house, I check and find that I have a huge blister on the bottom of my foot.

Argh!  First tri in two days and I have a big blister.  It hurts when I step on it.  I hope it gets better, or the run isn't going to be very fun.

At least I got everything packed and the car loaded.  It's not like I really needed to sleep or anything.

7 mile run in before work today. That leaves 5 to go to reach 100%.

Checking the spreadsheet a few people need some serious tasering to get their mileage in. C'mon team get those legs moving if you're not on goal pace.

Hold off on the tasering!  I'm running tonight... even though it's *gasp* like 80+ degrees and humid out.  (I know, I'm a wimp.)
