Not big on HS reunions.....I avoided my wifes that was a few months ago....and just got the invitation for mine. I have no desire to go. Anyone I care to catch up with.....I am still friends with and already hang out with.

believe me, i feel the same as you and when mine rolls around next year i won't even read the invite, but this is a HUGE deal to him and has been a source of contention for weeks.  i think he really wants me there, but i know once i'm there i'm going to be ignored all night.  do anyone's SOs go to these things?  if there are other boyfriends/girlfriends/spouses to make idle chatter with, i could manage, i think.

meh... this is pretty much a no-brainer.  Would you be pissed if he didn't go to something that was important to you?  Be there for him and he'll be there for you.

The Ms drug me to a dinner last night where we had to dress like cowboys.  I wasn't thrilled, but she looks hot in that sort of git-up, so that was some incentive.  Iended up winning an award for the best men's costume.  It wasn't hard... I think I was the only one.

phoenixazul - 2009-09-25 8:49 AM I just saw the First Lady! She was having pancakes at the diner literally 10 feet from my front door. We live in a little municipality just outside of the Pittsburgh lines, and the diner does serve a truly fantastic breakfast. They were even asked to come to the white house to cook pancakes for the first family and a group of veterans on memorial day, and I think they were cooking for a group of foreign dignitaries. This is the first big thing to happen to our little part of the city in a long time (and the last one was a devastating flood!).
