skrtrnr - 2009-10-12 9:42 AM GHOULIE TEAM QUESTION:  what was/is still your favorite CHILDHOOD CEREAL?  the sugar ladened variety....

I was a big golden grahams fan.  Lucky charms is a close second.

Busy day and lots to catch up on here.....I was a Cocoa Puffs girl, but golden grahams were also in the pantry.  My mom wasn't much of a cook, so sometimes dinner was a bowl of cereal.   Still is every now and again, but not the sugary stuff.

Long day today.  Up before 5am to run and just getting home from work.  Dinner is going to be scrambled eggs and toast.  Not very exciting, but all I've got the energy for.  At least the eggs are straight from the farm...really does make a difference.

disturbed275 - 2009-10-12 4:16 AM Should be an interesting week for me.  I'll be working 60-70 hours as opposed to my normal 40 and workouts will have to occur in the morning or else they won't get done.  Gulp!  Wish me luck!

YOU WILL RUN....

I mean...

GOOD LUCK!

why you working sooooooooooooo many hours this week? Im tired for you and Katie! between you both..I think you work more hours in a week together then I do all summer! maybe I need to work more!

NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Katie has me beat hands down.  This is a once a year occurrence.  We bring in some japanese consultant and run like 5 different focused groups to drive changes throughout the plant.  Good times.

sounds interesting...now what kind of plant you working for? and are the focus groups keeping your focus?? hope it is not one of those groups where you need the toothpicks to keep the eyes propped open! and these groups are going to last all week long? now thats one heck of a focus group!!!

We are a chemical manufacturing plant.  And yes, we will be working alllllll week long.  Luckily we only put in 11 hours today.  Tomorrow could get ugly

jaxbamf73 - 2009-10-12 1:24 PM Well had an "optional" run planned today, but decided to do some yard work and take a beach cruise/urban mountain bike ride....very fun to just ride without a goal or purpose...just riding around....good mental break

did you at least kick over a beer bottle or two on the ride??? say you did! haha

good for you...a mental break soooo WELL deserved!

now go run! just kidding! have a great evening!!!!

No beer, but I did have frozen margarita in my water bottle.....looked like a Gatorade slushy.

serendipity - 2009-10-12 1:53 PM Post-nap drive-by!  No bike (yet).  Might just skip the workout today.

Started marinating some chicken satay for dinner.  Now all I have to do is remember to cook it!

A bit groggy....

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.........

computers are great for pulling up recipes! or did you remember???

you feeling any better??? if not....I COMMAND YOU TO GO BACK TO BED and order some type of delivery! well Stacie will you command her to do so!??? I forgot Im not the queen-B BT!

I did remember, and dinner came out pretty good, too.

Feeling a bit better.  Ear seems to be okay, and I only cough when I laugh.  Undecided

Going to bed early.  We are having the inspection done on the house we are buying tomorrow morning.  Need to be awake for that.

Thanks Ghoulies for all the entertainment in the thread. Laughing

I was out of town for the weekend so could only check in occasionally.  However I did get in a run this morning.  It went really well.

This weekend DH and I went to the beach with friends to ride our quads on the dunes.  Friday night - ST at hotel.  Saturday and Sunday -  rode quads on the sand dunes  -  my favorite!   Beautiful blue skies, mid 60s, gorgeous ocean views, green hill top views, and lots of sand dunes to ride!!  Definitely a Workout!!

Then my jog this morning.  And this evening all of the entertaining material on this thread.
Whee hee!!                            oh yes, and a massage this afternoon.  Smile

Good morning GHOULIES!!!!

I just got done reading all the pages I missed yesterday. All I can say is WOW! I am wondering though if girls can keep their hands warm in the same fashion???

Hope everyone is well so they can keep on running. I've got 3 miles planned tonight then the rest of the week may be on the dreadmill, they are calling for cold wet weather. I would rather not run in 40 degree temperature in the rain.

Have a great day GHOULIES!!!

ps - The chocolate fudge pop-tarts are my favorites. Cereal just gets all soggy sitting in the milk.

morning GHOULIES.

trying to stay calm.

woke up this morning to my son's ever higher fever

102.4 this time (its been running at 100.4ish)

cough.  sore throat.  body aches.  heaviness in his chest.

theres been a confirmed case of H5N1 in our school district (not in his bldg, the bldg my oder son is in)

what has me the most concerned is that M., hes a bit 'compromised'

he has a residual congential heart defect, a second one that required open heart surgery a few years back.

mommy is on alert now....

heading to the Pediatrician as soon as i can get him seen, maybe even Childrens Hosp if necessary.

ill chk back later and let you know.

being a sick kid sucks.

being a worried mom sucks.
