Howdy Kendra!

Kendra I passed your count!!! - Cool

We need to call a Kendra County Budget Library Meeting - that is unacceptable!

Good thing I don't freak out about post counts.  Believe it or not, but I used to have more than Phil, and look at him now.  LOL

HELLO GHOULIES.

back from my jaunt to the city and a lovely lunch with my uber fab friend.

LOOKIE WHAT I BOUGHT......

i bought it from this wonderful store called Ten Thousand Villages...the entire store is full of handmade items imported from all over the world, made in remote villages, hence the stores name Ten Thousand Villages.

there just aint stores/stuff like this in the BURBS.  i LOVE this neighborhood.

cool thing.  a portion of the sales goes back to the people/villages who made the beautiful items.

this necklace is handcrafted in India.

i just thought it was spectacular.

love, love, love it, so i bought it.

now i gotta find an outfit to go with it....

Hey Ghoulies! I had a nice 3 mile run today and took some pics while I was out there. I think I finally figured out the sizing thing, so I'll post some here for ya. The one with the sailboats is the marina between Harbor Island and Spanish Landing Park that I run by a lot when I go from work. The one with me has downtown SD in the background. Enjoy!

Oh man, Tom that run path looks dangerously beautiful. I am jealous of all of you who are wearing shorts and sunglasses and t-shirts. It did get up to 50 briefly at Salt Lake Int'l Airport, but then it rained the rest of the day--a cold rain, with tons of wind. Brrrr.

Stacie, I love love love that necklace!!! Nice find.

Good news--I took my bike to the shop to be built today!!! Hubby's headed out of town again tomorow--so he decided it was ok to take both bikes to a shop--I guess he finally came to grips with the fact that his schedule doesn't allow for hours of time to work on bikes. The dork. I love him, but he's a dork sometimes. He's been home for a a range of one to 6 days at a time for a couple months now. How much do the LBS around you guys charge for a custom bike build? My bike came in pieces. The naked frame, plus all the components still in their original packaging. Phone quotes ranged from 100 to 150 dollars. i ended up taking them to a shop that is about 20 miles away, but is a sponsor of our local tri club, and they told me on the phone they'd knock the price down to $80 each bike, but it's usually $100. When I walked in I talked with a different employee who said "ok, so this will be about $160 per bike". Uh, the other guy said $80. "Oh, ok, it'll be $80 then". Wow. I guess I get overcharged both at the bike shop and the car shop, LOL. I have been told many times I just look so wholesome and young (this coming from people in Utah...young, blonde, and naive are the norm here). Must make people think they can take advantage.

Good evening Ghoulies. Just dropping by to say good night and that I won't be around much tomorrow. I have a training session all morning, followed by a lunch with some heavy brass, and then more training. Yay. At least it's just one day. I have a swim scheduled, so hopefully I can fit that in at some point. I hope you all have a happy hump day!

I do NOT look wholesome and young and I get taken all the time at these places.  Good job on going there, though. This way it will be done and if not correctly you have someone other than your DH to bicch at!
FWIW, My LBS would be about 100 bucks each.

MORNING NEAL, ROBIN AND ANN!!!!

manohpete.

my legs are COMPLETELY BLASTED from last nights workout.

500 yard swim, finished at 8:36.  i would say i was about 70-75%.  i was excited to see my time when i picked my head out of the water, knowing i had/have more to give to the swim.....

1+ hour spin.  holy moly did my friend give me something to chase all night.  he's a maniac on a spin bike.  i would say definately 80-85% the whole hour.  took out way harder than i will come the indoor tri.

followed up by a swifty 1 mile 8-9min/mile run, and 1/2 mile recovery jog.  the run was at 75-80% id say.  still have more to lay down.  the indoor track at the Y was so crowded.  TONS of walkers.  and couple kids that kept getting in the way.  no worries.  they'll have the track cleared for the tri then i can cruise uninterrupted.

i thought i could get a strength training session in this morning before i head out for my appointment, but im thinking i need a few more hours to recover....so it will be when i make back to the Burbs.

been cruisin' the Jobs Sections on some local agencies/organization websites.  gotta get some more hours.....more money.....somewheres.

cant be hanging out in coffee shops and bars having conversations with cute boys the rest of my life.

or perhaps..... i could turn that into a meaningful career of some sort!!!!

LOL.
