And it was good. Oh please, describe, in slow detail!! Yes, do that! Do EXACTLY that! Cake is good... 4 layer, uber moist, vanilla cake with rich, chocolate fudge icing between the layers and on the sides. Sweet butter cream frosting on top. As you guys know, I'm more of a chip and dip gal but this one was very, very good. And the birthday boy is a Brit who has been stranded here for over a week due to the volcanic ash. Was fun to do something nice for him. What a good friend you are Kim. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the ash clears up for your pal soon! |

Well, he has had a nice comfy hotel room so unlike some poor folks being stranded it hasn't been the end of the world. Actually, I should have done something for his wife as they have 6 kids. I think she got the tougher end of the deal this week. But, I know of a very good bakery and happy to bring birthday cakes to one and all!!!! |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are STILL doing Ironman distances this month!!! Ok Ghoulies here are the items that I will admit to from today's discussion. Yes. I broke the law and drove through a red light. Yes. I wear socks that leave my ankles visible, sometimes. Yes. I like to drink wine. If you want to know what I sleep in, or anything else about me in the bedroom you will have to come to San Diego and find out for yourself. |

Master 2484 St. Louis | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are STILL doing Ironman distances this month!!! Hit my first and more than likely only IM distance for the month! Big month for me. If anyone told me a year ago I would do this much exercise I would have said they were crazy. Now my friends are saying I'm crazy :-). All this crazy exercise has had a positive benefit. I tried on 7 pair of pants this morning before I found a pair that wasn't too big. Good news, but frustrating when it is time to leave and your clothes don't fit. Wife went and bought me new pants tonight. She rocks. Speaking of her rocking, last night she mowed the lawn while I biked and ran. That is the definition of a keeper. I'm just sayin. |

I think if the police come around to check on what you're sleeping in there may be bigger issues than what you're sleeping in. I'm just sayin'. LOL. The law about the ankles is still on the books from pioneer days...and as far as the clothing you sleep in...I say do what you want. Not that you wouldn't anyway, you law-breaker. Stupid rules were made to be broken! I am a law-breaker, and I even had my son along. I have a confession Ghoulies. The other weekend when my son and I were going to the movies, we were sitting on the off-ramp waiting for the light to turn green so we could turn left and get to the theater. We could see the theater from where we were sitting. The light stayed red for 7 minutes. 3 times I could have safely turned left, there were no cars coming in either direction. The 4th time I could safely turn left we did. The light was still red but we went anyway. There! I said it! And I'd do it again!!! *gasp* I'm tellin'!!!! (said in my best I'm gonna go get mom voice...) hehehe Just out of curiosity... who you gonna tell? Well, I'm torn between Mom, and the Queen. Depends on who I think is more likely to be on my side... and who is more likely to ground you so I can have the Wii all to myself for the day. I'll let you know when I decide. But it's my turn to play the Wii!!!!! CHILDREN, Children. Stop bickering, you BOTH have to go to your rooms and I get the Wii AND the wine. What can I say, I take after my kids. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are STILL doing Ironman distances this month!!! I hurt my hamstring. It has been bothering me for awhile now, but the past few days it has gotten worse. I couldn't run last night. I got not quite a mile down the road and it was locked up so tight I could barely walk. My husband was on his way home, he stopped and picked me up. I rolled it on the foam roller last night, did some stretches, soaked in a hot bath for awhile. It is still really tight and sore this morning. I thought about bringing my hot pad into work and using it, but I didn't. I do have the heater under my desk running though. Right now my only plan is to finish in Pittsburgh, even if I have to walk it. After that I will reevaluate and take some time off if necessary. I don't care about Black Bear, my main goal for the season is the Marine Corps Marathon. I need to be healthy to start training for that in a few weeks. |
