I actually think you are closer than I am Kim. It is a good 6 hours for me (not that it is too far or anything like that) but I try and avoid IM scenes so I don't get foolish and sign up for one! So far it has worked!

What if we say we won't let you sign up? It could be a fun weekend. It is within driving distance, we could bring our bikes and wetsuits. I would love to go biking with you sometime, Bill.

I was following him on-line and he was doing great. 1:04 on the swim, 7:30 on the bike, 30 mins combined on T1/T2 and his run splits were slow but steady. All of a sudden, he disappeared. Never showed up as finishing the final 10.7k on the run. I went to bed Sunday night thinking something catastrophic had happened and they'd had to carry him off the course so I sent a note yesterday to see how he was doing. He finished in 15:18. Yeah! IM site still shows him as a dnf.

WOOHOO!

I hope he gets it straightened out and has an official time.

Hi Bill, Kim, Ann, Melindy!!

I had a nice but somewhat tiring weekend. Visited brother-IL & sister-IL which is always a good time. Went to a GoodGuys car show ... over 2000 hotrods, muscle cars, pickups, etc. Fun but hot and tired. Jogged on Sunday morning. I had noticed that my foot hurt a little on Saturday, but I didn't pay too much attention. After Sundays jog, it hurt across the ball of my foot toward the outside. Monday was even worse. Had to try not to limp. This morning is slightly better, but still feels stiff and a little swollen. I probably won't jog again until Friday so hopefully all will be fine by then.

Need to go hunt down my allergy drops. This is kind of weird that I have been here for 3 months and now I get something going on....they are somewhere.

I don't want to go to work today! Need to figure out what I want for supper. Flying solo for the next 2 days. Dropping my grandfather off at the ferry this morning!

hello ghoulies! I have had a very busy few weeks! I completed my first HIM in 6:43:28! It was the most painful yet amazing thing I have done! I can't wait for IMWI next year! Then my kids raced on Saturday and I raced again on Sunday, did the sprint and PR'd by 7 min! I was expecting a not so stellar race seeing I was still recovering from the 1/2 but I felt great out there! (still not as speedy as the fasties in my age) but I improved all my times from last year....now time to focus on the run for lakefront mary. Hope all is good with all of you!

Castlegar.? It's in the BC interior. Family reunion this weekend. My parents and brother are leaving on Fri for it. So Mom is coming to pick me up at the airport and then leaving and then they come home and have to drop me off at the airport again. Haha. I chose to race this weekend.
