I wanted late in the day, or first thing in the morning but they only see new patients at 10:30 and 1:00. I'm going to have to take a whole day off of work for this. I asked what was abnormal and the girl on the phone said that the doctor didn't say. I told her that 2 weeks was a long time to not know what was going on with my heart. She said she understood and she'd leave a note for the doctor asking for more information for me. She said the doctor was gone for today, but she'd try to get back to me tomorrow. Hmmm. If she doesn't call back, you can call them tomorrow. That is indeed a long time to wait thinking that your heart may blow up. However, you may want to use this information to your advantage at home. Laundry, vacuuming, dusting etc. may be dangerous. hint hint. Ok I've actually been thinking about this for weeks. It's confession time. I am only married on a piece of paper. My husband and I have no relationship at all. He is not only not supportive of anything I do, he often tries to sabotage things. When I said earlier that I can't have a procedure or surgery it is because I'm on my own, there is no down time here. When my arms were broken my husband left me for a week to go on a church trip. I couldn't bathe myself. I couldn't dress myself. I could barely feed myself. And he left me here with a 7 year old and a girl who had just turned 4. I had surgery on my foot a few years ago. That evening he left for a few hours and left me here with the kids. I was on crutches and puking because of the anisthesia and he left. He gets 6 weeks paid maternity leave where he works and he only wanted to take a week with each kid. These are just a few of the highlights. He is neglectful, controlling, and at times verbally abusive. He is also not capable of love. Yes, I know I need to leave him. I just can't do that right now. So I stay and I take care of my kids. Everyone else sees him as such a great guy, but they don't see what I see. I believe he has narcassistic personality disorder. He is better than everyone else or as I believe he sees it Holier than Thou, and the kids and I are nothing but accessories to him. When I told him about the whole cardiology thing his response to me was "how much is this going to cost?" That's what I live with. Anne, I'm so sorry to hear this. |

We survived the inclement weather yesterday and last night, however this morning is a different story. Hubby went off to work and drove the whole hour there without incident, and in the driveway of his office building, slid all the way down the hill and has wrecked the front tire. I don't know what else yet at this point, but at least he is okay. OH NO! I saw a weather map yesterday where the south was getting bad weather and we were getting nothing. We may get an inch or so of snow today. My nephew goes to school in MD. The county already cancelled school today because they MAY get 3 inches of snow this afternoon. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I was wrapping presents for my kids last night. A friend of mine is taking my daughter shopping on Saturday, my daughter wants to get me something. I asked my son if he wanted to go along. He said he already has something for me. Apparently he bought something for me, with his own money, and I have NO idea what it is. It's killing me. I need someone to call my son, or send him an email and find out what he got and report back. Thanks. |

He knows I like to read, and there were 2 new books from an author than him and I both enjoy. I had one of the books on my wishlist for things my daughter could get me, but I told my friend that is taking her shopping to not let her get me a book just in case. I like to read what he is reading so we can talk about the books. Sometimes I enjoy the books, sometimes I don't, but I do enjoy our conversations about them. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() So I'm assuming no one is going to call my son. Ok, plan B. We are going to do some baking on Saturday afternoon/evening. You can come help bake, then casually ask him what he got and report back. After your report you can take an extra cookie out of petty cash. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() So the adventures of Melissa living in the country on her own continue. It snowed about 8 inches yesterday from about 6am-10pm. Can you say gong show? I drove to my friends house from school so we could practice physical exam on one another for our clinical exam today. Left to get home about 830. Didn't get home till 10. If I didn't have the 4x4 I wouldn't have made it. There were cars stuck EVERYWHERE...They couldn't start if stopped, etc. I felt like a giant a$$ for just driving by in my 4x4 truck...but I wasn't stopping in that. I phoned my BFF when I got home and she told me she was going to tell my Mom on me that I drove home. She was expecting a phone call for me to go over to her place. Ya...I braved it to go home. I had contingency plans in place. One of the neighbours had his tractor out and was ploughing the hill coming up to my place...thank god. Skyped with my parents last night because my brother has his computer in Maui. I assured them I was alive. |
